Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

Slow Play Slow Greens
Bad timing. Behind two slow foursome of ladies. They eventually let me play through, so the rest of the day was smooth. Greens were slower than most. Overall nice course.
monarch
the greens were slow and bumpy. have to believe they will improve upon this.
Overall the course was in good shape I would play it again
Course was now too good of shape.s need lots of attention.
Decent place for the price
We played from the back tees. The tee boxes were a bit rough. Course was fun and a bit challenging for our first time. People were friendly and pace of play was good. The general upkeep was a bit to be desired, random patches of long grass/weeds and slower green. Decent course for the price.
Nice Layout
Nicely laid out where you need many shots and some good risk/reward holes Play is a little slow at least for this round.
Nice Course!
Course was in very nice shape, and for the price, I would absolutely recommend playing here! I will definitely play here again.
Best round in 15 years
I would highly recommend this course . In very good shape. I don't understand the 3 of us started on 4th hole as a shot gun since no one was there. Our tee time was 12:33 and they made us wait until 1. I don't get it? My best round in 15 years. 12 pars, 3 birdies, 3 bogeys. Very happy to shoot a 72.
We got behind a ladies league who were playing very slow. They had no consideration for those waiting behind them. Thinking maybe you shouldn't have tee times that close behind your league play. We payed for 18 and only played 4 holes. So frustrated we just left. Seems the course over booked on this day. We live about 4 miles from this course and won't be playing there again.
Pro shop lied about course conditions
I drove an hour here for a good deal because the staff said that the greens were in good shape despite being recently aerated. I should’ve listened to my gut and gone elsewhere.
