About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Not such a secret anymore
When I moved down here a year ago the course they told me to “watch out for” was panther run. I asked what they meant and they said it was just some new tee boxes and re-seeding away from being one of sw Florida’s best secrets a high quality course without the Tiburon cost... (I wouldn’t quite compare the two but they aren’t out of the same convo) the greens were lightning, 14 had an almost impossible pin placement(my only complaint) ball did a u turn around the hole and back down the hill 4 feet. On a 6 footer barely missed it on the high side... unless you are going straight up you couldn’t make it my group got (6,7,8,8) and we are all single handicap golfers.
Other than that (groundskeeper didnt get any last night ;) ) the course will no longer be a secret it’s booked to the brim daily. And rightfully so. Wide fairways. Well manicured staff is pretty nice, I’d never been there before and they were very assumptive that I knew where to go. Also the “bucket” of range balls that comes with your tee time is 15 balls but free is free
My favorite part about golf courses are the greens I want to be able to put it on a line and it stay there and roll true 10/10 for these greens and they still held shots relatively well. I will play here more often especially in the winter where their rates are for some reason way more reasonable than other courses in far worse condition

Very good course. Beware the membership.
I really enjoy this course. It is quite a hike from Naples, but a very nice set up with lots of tees to choose from. I have played the course twice and the members I have encountered are quite snobby. Today we were told that we were being too loud on the tees while they were putting (we had just clapped for an 8 year old who hit a very good shot into a par 3). They followed up this complaint by teeing off into me while I was hitting my second shot. If you don't have a custom cart don't expect the members to treat you well. Don't let this stop you from playing the course.

19th Hole Rusty Putter
Rusty Putter after round is the best 19th hole for food & drink. Pro shop Staff is great, course is very good, challenging.
Members are a bit snooty, separate area on range, they seem as though guest are tolerated. Ranger cud help speed play.

Fun course !
Greens are extremely fast and not very receptive of shots but if you know that, can use it to your advantage. Shot 82 from second set of tees first time there

Course was in great shape. Be sure to select the correct tees to your driving distance. Staff attentive and helpful. Fairways wide and forgiving. Huge greens making short iron selection very important. Greens were true and in great condition. Will play again soon.

Worth the drive
If your in the Naples area Panther Run is definitely worth the drive to Ave Maria. Wide open fairways make for stress free tee shots but challenging greens make up for it. Always in great condition.

Course was great; minus two a-holes that cut in front of me on hole 15. Fed them to the gators though so it was a small hiccup on an otherwise amazing golf day.

Average course, nothing special. Caters to the residents of the local villages, as they should.

Age & Working Class Discrimination at its Finest
Your pro shop staff needs a good lesson in treating everyone the same no matter their age or demographic. Do not go to this course unless you are the older age and class of people that they obviously wait to give their "good manners" to. This way of pre-judging people is rampant in Naples in general. Do better as humans front staff. Do better.

Pretty course, okay experience.
Pulled up to the course, and was very happy with the appearance and the starter who gave us an overview was very nice. Set us up with 20ish balls to practice with before our tee time which was great. It was just my brother and I on our reservation so we we’re paired up with two other players. Turns out the two people we were paired with do not golf and we’re using rental clubs. Right off the first tee i could tell it was going to be a slow day because of our partners. We were quickly being run up on by the group behind us and felt rushed. The starter eventually rolled up on us and told us we we’re 15 minutes off pace. After that, i was checked out mentally from the game even tho It wasn’t even our fault for the slow pace of play. Either way the course was beautiful and very well kept the people were friendly. We would definitely come back... just got unlucky with our partners.
