The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Un happy
Fairways were cut too short and too thinned out. Several greens were in bad shape.
Not happy
Most fairways were cut too short and thin and several greens were in bad shape.
Otter creek
the course was a lot of fun, greens were a rough, but we had a good day
Box of Chocolates
This course could be outstanding with a little love and a lot of water. It has a great layout, beautiful trees, lots of birds, and natural wetlands. BUT, with each hole, you’re not sure what conditions you will find. There is very little consistency in tee boxes, fairway grass, and green conditions. In general, the grass is either dormant? or near death, or in a few cases, just gone. The staff at check-in were great. Hopefully, someone can just add water????
Very scenic mossy trees wide fairways greens and fairways rough was very rough
Good coarse for the money only 17 dollars on golf now after 3.
dry conditions
Course was good overall but they need to water. Tee boxes were dry, some almost no grass, many greens were dry, their attempts to repair with compose was ok but the pin placement was sometimes in the bad part of the green instead of the grass portion. Many fairways were dry, good for roll but bad for growing grass.
Fun challenging layout. Small greens. Greens are OK not great. Overall fun to play.
Too bad…
With tee boxes that look like they have been sprayed with kerosene to a par 5 that is two-thirds under water, it’s not surprising that so few golfers want to play this course again any time soon…
Didn't Play It
When we got to PAL we were told the back nine was closed due to all the rain we've had the past few days. So we were given the option of playing just the front nine of Otter Creek and then play the front nine of their other course, Cranes Roost OR we could delay our 11:00 AM start time to 11:15 and play the entire Cranes Roost course. We opted for the latter and Cranes Roost was in excellent condition. We'll catch Otter Creek some other time.
It was horrible.
The greens were punch and covered with sand. I want my money back.
Golf course need to share with golf now,tee off when condition of golf course change. And any fee changes.
Once a tee time is sold is not time for changes at The course.
Like three holes are closed or the back is closed you must play front two times.
.
Challenging course
Narrow faitways, well maintained except, putting green cups are dammaged and bent on some holes.
