The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Didn't Play It
When we got to PAL we were told the back nine was closed due to all the rain we've had the past few days. So we were given the option of playing just the front nine of Otter Creek and then play the front nine of their other course, Cranes Roost OR we could delay our 11:00 AM start time to 11:15 and play the entire Cranes Roost course. We opted for the latter and Cranes Roost was in excellent condition. We'll catch Otter Creek some other time.
It was horrible.
The greens were punch and covered with sand. I want my money back.
Golf course need to share with golf now,tee off when condition of golf course change. And any fee changes.
Once a tee time is sold is not time for changes at The course.
Like three holes are closed or the back is closed you must play front two times.
.
Challenging course
Narrow faitways, well maintained except, putting green cups are dammaged and bent on some holes.
Hidden Jem
Hate to give these guys an excellent review but they absolutely deserve it. Found the Otters on golfnow a couple of months ago and gave them a try. I was floored from the rating they have on golfnow because throughout the entire course the greens were very well maintained. The Fairways were above average and I have been back several times since. I hate giving this course a good review because for the price its going to be slow play when the word gets out.
Summer rains, slow greens.
The back nine were closed due to the past several weeks of heavy rains. So we played the front twice. The greens were cut kind of high and though they were dry the day we played, speed was slow. Lots of putts left too short by thinking it would roll out. Fairways were fairly groomed, rough was still playable. A very hot and humid day made for a lot of liquid needed to rehydrate.
Fun course even if rough and cart path only. Still very wet. Back nine closed. Still fun and in nice shape.
Great place for a casual round of golf!
Very nice course for the price! It’s not in super great condition, but it’s one of the better values for the cost in this area. We put off playing here for months due to the low ratings on GolfNow, but I really don’t get why the course is rated poorly. Tee boxes were in very good shape, fairways were really nice, greens were just okay, but 100% playable. This will definitely make it into my course rotation. Highly recommend, I will be playing here more!
Great hidden gem. Tough layout. Very narrow. Accuracy needed. Fun to play. Tree lined with alot of hazards and out of bounds. Fun and fair. Will be back.
Very Good Course
Enjoy our play at Plantation. Nice scoured and friendly staff.
First time
Tight but fair course. Pace of play could be better. Looking forward to playing the Crane course next.
Still Loving it
Third time playing this course and still living the dream. Really, Really nice community course and just tight enough where they irons are used on the Tee box more than once.
