The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Great hidden gem. Tough layout. Very narrow. Accuracy needed. Fun to play. Tree lined with alot of hazards and out of bounds. Fun and fair. Will be back.
Very Good Course
Enjoy our play at Plantation. Nice scoured and friendly staff.
First time
Tight but fair course. Pace of play could be better. Looking forward to playing the Crane course next.
Still Loving it
Third time playing this course and still living the dream. Really, Really nice community course and just tight enough where they irons are used on the Tee box more than once.
Great shape
The course had to be the best shape that I’ve ever played,,, fairways, greens top notch,, all ways liked this course fun and the otter will have its revenge !!
Great little jewel!
This course is a great jewel located off the beaten path, and the conditions are excellent. It was well worth the drive, and the layout is tight but player friendly. I'm going to book another round for myself tomorrow morning, and I'll recommend it to anyone who might be interested in playing here.
Course conditions were real good. Weather very warm and sticky. No backup/ waiting experienced. Traps were all hard-not raked. This is a fairly narrow course.
Otter C
I like both of the courses at Plantation, But understand they are very different in layout and design. CR is open while OC is quite tigh and tree lined, in particular 13-17. Those are quite tricky and i still have not come up with a good stagedy to play them. Overall this course is a very good value for the price, I recommend both Otter creek and Cranes Roost...
Not worth your time or money, seriously. Yikes!
This course is in such bad shape it's like an insult for them not to warn you and offer a 40% discount.
Let's start with the practice green behind the tiny pro shop. As I walked up there was a group of four literally standing there looking at it. Poor condition doesn't explain it...spotty diseased, hard pan dirt with zero care ever given to it, apparently.
The fairways were in deplorable condition except for 4 or 5 of them. More hard pan dirt, very spotty areas of grass. Maybe they have candid cameras in the trees. Greens in virtually the same condition as the practice green...just oh so slightly better, I mean, not much.
No water in ball washers...I know....not much rain this year, but how about water every 4 holes or so? No GPS on carts.
A Hidden Gem
Played here once about 10 years ago so it was like my first time.. Greens were great and not overly fast. Course is well maintained. The back 9 was quite challenging. Staff, members and other patrons were very nice and courteous. Going again and can't wait to try Cranes Roost.
I'm Not Comin' Back!
The only thing that was missing on the course is the windmill and the clown! Range balls were below average as well as the range grass, putting green was half sand and it took almost 10 minutes to get to the back 9! It's a sad day when u have a drive just left or right of center of the fairway with a 110 yds left and have to either bump and run or do a Bubba Watson slice or hook to go around a tree in order to make the green and this happens on several holes. Fairways were in poor condition and greens in average state. The lady running the pro shop was very nice and gave me good local knowledge tips. No, I do not recommend the Otter course until the conditions improve!
Needs work
Fairways and tee boxes were in bad shape. Greens slow compared to other courses in the area.
Good Value Golf
This course is very pleasant to play. Fairly easy front nine but a fairly challenging back nine. On the back nine if you hit a bad shot you WILL be punished.
We paid about $24 which we thought was good value for money.
Paul Dunn. Manchester, England.
Reasonably priced gem in central Florida
An honest challenge for the average player. Extremely enjoyable 4 hours.
Difficult back nine
Course was in very good condition I would definitely recommend it
