About
Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Great Value / Fast Pace
Twilight price very reasonable. Course was in good condition. Just need to pit signs out where areas are cart restricted - altho played here several times, it seems these areas kind of change depending on conditions. True to its name was very windy - lol!!

Impressed with the conditions with the greens and sand traps. The greens being new tend to not hold many shots yet but that is expected. Keep up the great work.

It was such a great course, and apparently recently renovated. I would take this value and quality of golf any day of the week! I played almost immediately after the remnants of a hurricane moved through the area, and the course was still amazing!

Everything totally enjoyed except the carts. Did not like the cut off factor., I am handicapped and the carts were a hassle.

This was the first time I played Windy Harbor. The revised greens were consistently quick. I liked the way the course is layer out with water coming into play on many holes.. The rough was very difficult. The greens were hard and needed approach shots needed to be short. I cannot wait to play the course again.
Not bad! Not renovated!
It is clear, that the water hazards I’ve been renovated. However, the course itself remains as previous. From Teebox to the greens, the only renovation I could see were some blue, white, red yardage markers added to each hole. Several fairways appeared barren, greens dried out, and the only real addition to the golf course was the pleasant lady at the starter box and the young lady that continuously drove around with a polite smile offering a fresh beverage. If you can, go to Trident Lakes in Saint Marys Georgia. It’s worth the drive!
New Windy Harbor
Always enjoy playing Windy Harbor and the new greens have made it challenging like never before. They putt well and true, but hard holding approach shots. New sand in bunkers is nice if it's been raked 😫
Fairways are in great condition and the rough is thick and penalizing at times but that's golf. Bogeys and pro shop staff are always providing excellent service.
