Briar Bay Golf Course

I've been playing here for over a decade. The course has definitely seen much better days. The tee boxes are a mess, the greens are like old shaggy carpet with patches, and the sand traps have very little to no sand. They're essentially rock traps. All that being said, the course is good enough for a practice round to shake off some rust or to work on your wedges and irons. The layout is actually nice, but it needs lots of attention to be considered a good course. If you're paying more than $25 dollars, it's overpriced.

I understand it’s a very cheap public 9 hole course so I don’t expect much and honestly I have a decent time when I play here. Fun little course.

But my last round was pretty bad. People were jumping around to different holes and 9 holes took me 2+ hours. Green were worse than normal with deep holes and roots that throw your putt off line pretty severely. Try and show the greens some love and maybe have a ranger ride around to make sure pace is decent and then everything will be better.

The tee boxes are mostly sand and Bermuda roots.

The fairways are in god condition.

The greens are horrific. Basically a Warzone and impossible to put on. You have mini sand traps. Chunks of grass missing, uneven cut grass and bumps all over.

I’ve played this course since i was 3 years old and its always been kinda decent. But over the years I’ve seen a complete decline in conditions. Played today after not playing here for a year or so and i wont ever be coming back, tee boxes are nonexistent might as well be teeing up on the surface of mars, fairways? What fairways? I know nothing about maintaining a course but i honestly think id be able to do a better job if i gave it even the slightest thought. Just complete lack of maintenance. And to think you can go to west palm and pay 15 dollars more and play a course that rivals even the nicest Miami courses. The county needs to do something.

The greens were terrible definitely not worth the price but the ladies at the front desk were the best !! Course need to be shut down for maintenance

Greens are horrible right now, they “re did them” recently but already need a renovation again. Fairways are pretty good. Tee boxes are meh

If you’re learning great. Should be more like 20.00 green fees tho

Terrible Greens and Tee Box they need to fix the course.

Course condition was terrible. Greens were half sand have weeds. Tee boxes were basically just dirt. Fairways weren’t terrible but might as well go to another course for the same cost. Around $40 for 9 holes at 5 PM. Not worth it in my opinion.

Conditions are so bad I don’t even recommend this for free. Really disappointing
