Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

i am not fond of this course
it is very convenient for me as it is close to my home. But i dislike the course. it is poorly maintained., and marked. it is also difficult win lots of water. The last time i played there, i lost a dozen balls. Most of them right on the fairway!
OK Course -- Convenient Location
So-so course in the heart of Doral so lots of traffic surrounding the edges of the course. Greens were so-so as were the fairways and tee boxes but for the price in season, was okay.
Great course, BUT….
Layout is challenging, definitely a shot makers course, no automatic driver off the tee. 4 holes run along the roads that are not shielded from errant tee shots. Very dangerous! Course holds water, so lots of soggy fairways. Greens are small and challenging, but some barely had grass, almost packed dirt. I like the course, but could do with some heavy investment. Fairways are narrow, water hazards everywhere, bunkers are terrible.
Good Value - Nice Place
It is very difficult to get to the clubhouse. This course is inside a gated (like a prison) community. Note that you must ignore Google maps directions.
In order to join the inmates, you MUST enter via the entrance at NW 41st St. & NW 102nd Ave.
Once inside, you will find a well maintained course, a nice layout and friendly people.
Good for the money
Course is not in the best shape but plays well. Layout is a little hard, some fairways are narrow and 9 holes with water hazard. Not bad for what I paid for winter rates.

Oddly enough, the greens were in very good condition while the fairways were very poor. Opposite of what you would expect. Usually at cheaper courses the greens are terrible and the fairways are ok.
The fairways were predominantly crab grass and weeds and were pretty long. Probably only a bit shorter than typical rough length.
The greens were very nice.
Overall, good course for the money with a very nice layout. If they maintained the fairways better, to go with the nice greens and good layout, it would be a very nice course. Hopefully they fix that, because it has potential to be a very good course.
I would definitely play it again if I can’t get tee times at my typical go to courses.
Great and challenging golf .
Challenging because the course is narrow and you need to be accurate at your shots and also several holes shots over lakes .
