River Oaks Golf Club

Had a wonderful time. The course is in great condition considering all the recent rain. The only complainant would be the windy conditions.

Course was good, the greens look like a different grass is taking them over maybe? They rolled slow, and kinda weird hard to get balls to check up, they'd roll out. Hopefully they get better with better weather coming

Had a great time. The pace of play and the weather were perfect. The fairways were still soggy in places, but the greens were in great shape.

The course is holding up very well with the amount of rain we have had .

Hadn’t played River Oaks since last year late summer. Conditions appeared better. Work was done on the bunkers and were mainly playable despite the heavy recent rain. The course has a relaxed feel, there is no starter or Marshall so you line up according to your time. Luckily a single ahead of us Joe invited us to join him so we teed off 15 min early 845.

Fairways were in good shape as well as the greens. Greens rolled decent, they felt a little spongy but maybe due to the excess water nevertheless it didn’t affect the roll of the putts to be problematic. Water hazards were full (which was nice to see) unlike the last time we played and were dried out, (end of summer). The layout makes club selection important on certain holes due to water hazards, especially #16. Had a great time!

I played the day after the rain storms. Surprisingly to me the course was not as wet as I would thought. Very playable. Very few standing water. The greens were in excellent condition and looked great. Glad I played here. Played as a twosome, walking and carrying my own bag. Played in 3 hours, 15 minutes.

Course in great shape, but the tea boxes could use a little work.

For what it is (IMO) it's way overpriced. Course layout is trash, found myself checking the map quite a bit because i wasn't sure where the green was located (everything is bunched together and looks the same) . Honestly i could have played darkhorse for a couple bucks more and i probably should have.

Perfect weather but very frustrating pace of the play, probably due to frost delay. No player assistance or pace. Good sand bunkers and fairways except a few wet spots. There is no restaurant where you can enjoy the post play relaxation and fellowship. No adequate indoor seating place but good outdoor seating which is acceptable. Players are super friendly to one another. Configurations of the course are really downsides where you can see almost all 9 holes at same spots. Greens are fast at some holes and very slow at the other holes. Quite erratic.

The course was in very good condition for the amount of rain that we had during January!! The course staff and groundskeepers had to also deal with downed trees from severe winds!!! Which have been mostly cleaned up already!!!

We were travelling through on my birthday and booked this course last minute because of the high ratings. Very disappointed because the course is horrific shape, we cannot tell fairways from roughs as it was that bad. Dead grass and bare spots everywhere. Locals said the ravines are now ponds and bodies of water from the recent storms. They were also burning the dead fallen tree branches next to the course which did not help with the stinky smoke during our round.

Certainly should not be charging full green fees.

Despite the deluge we had these past few weeks the course is in great shape. The added ponds cause by the deluge made it challenging and fun.

Love this course. Great shape, staff super friendly and great price. Bunch of blind t shot but good thing I played with a regular. Greens are small yet perfect condition. Worth it!
