About
The East Course at the Country Club of Miami boasts several famous players including Bob Hope and Jack Nicklaus. The East Course is one of two courses at the club. The layout puts a premium on strategy and accuracy and it can accommodate both the beginning and experienced golfer. The golf course is well maintained with a layout that features water hazards and bunkers that come into play throughout. There is some housing close to the course. The Country Club of Miami also has a grass driving range as well as large pitching, putting, and chipping areas for golfers to work on their short game.

Don’t Wast you Hard Earn Money
Played course before. Course is in bad shape not worth the $50. All courses are over price now days. Got tee time off Tee Off so was a discounted price which would have been worse if I paid regular price . Played East Course; the greens was a little better than the terrible fairways
Needs work
For the price discourse is worth it to just get around in but the greens and Fairways were in rough shape
Course conditions
Course is horrible, brown fairways, slow greens, and terrible pace of play. It’s a shame they’ve let this course get to this point. Great layout, but ruined due to poor maintenance. It used to be one of Miami’s best courses.
Great golf in Miami
First time play on this course. Very pleased with the lay out and the pace that we were able to play. The staff is friendly and gave good advice for a few holes as we were planning to start. I’ll play this one again when travel takes me back to the Miami area.
Plenty of better options
The good - staff were friendly, and pace of play was fine. The ugly - everything else. Tee boxes chewed up; fairways full of dirt, mud and crabgrass; greens were useless - full of sand, bird poop, dry spots and weed clumps. The course does have plenty of practice facilities - putt, pitch and drive - but to call each one sloppy is being kind. Compare this muni to Okeeheelee - a muni in Palm Beach County and it’s not even close.
Better options almost anywhere
The good - employees were friendly, pace of play was good and layout is decent. The ugly - everything else. Tee boxes are messed up. Fairways have more dirt, mud and weeds than grass. Greens are a disaster. Dirt spots, clumps of crabgrass and sand. They are basically useless. And although the course has plenty of practice facilities - drive, chip and putt - all three are sloppy to say the least.
Out of towners golfing
This course has everything a beginner or amateur golfer needs. My dad brother and I all played from the whites and we had a great time. I love how forgiving this course is, I hit most of my drives to the right but the course was very clear and I could play all of my out of bounds balls. There is a ton of water to play over and around so yes we lost a lot of balls. The overall course conditions were great they take really good care of everything for the price. I highly recommend for out of towners that are looking to play a fun challenging course.
Much improved course and good value
I played this course regularly a couple of years ago and it was in poor condition. Beat up fairways and greens full of sand. They have done a great job to get the course looking much better. It's nowhere near the quality of other municipal courses like Miami Shores or Miami Beach but it's also 50% to 75% cheaper than those courses. This course also has a lot of great wildlife - herons, cranes, iguanas, and birds of all kinds. Overall very good value for money. I will be back to play.
