Bandon Doons meet West Texas
Like Bandon without the ocean! Lots of blind teeshots, undulating greens,waste bunkers, natural areas, and just a fun challenging day of golf. Home course to the Red Raider golf team and worthy of Big 12 champoinship competition. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Great Course
We played this course on a day it was 100+ degrees. The course was great as long as you stayed in the fairway. Rough was ROUGH and you certainly paid a penalty for getting out of the fairway. Greens were very nice and rolled great. We were there about a week before they opened the new Clubhouse and Pro Shop so have no idea what those are like.
I know this is Texas Tech's home course but choice of carts with BLACK roofs on the carts is HORRIBLE. In the afternoon heat, with a little wind, it felt like we were in a Convection Oven. Go to light roofs or put some reflective material on the top. YUCK in the summer.
