What a beautiful course. Can’t wait to play again!

Won’t play there again cart person stopped coming around at 11:30am club house closed at 2pm. Greens were not in good condition. Gas cold carts suck. Layout was good though. For it being one of the best golf courses in port Charlotte, they don’t act like it.

Always loved this layout. However some of the greens were in very bad condition. I was told after i played. The greens were damaged due to oil leak from the mower. I could not roll the ball on a few of the greens. Dissapointed

They had just aerated the greens so they weren’t the best but the course is an awesome layout.

Greens were in pretty rough shape, probably rolling at a 6-7 and diseased/damaged on a few. Worth mentioning because the starter confidently/arrogantly stated they were “always immaculate”… was not impressed.

Course in excellent condition from tee to green, healing up from aeration and 95% there. Fun layout, need to know where to miss. Can’t wait to come back!

Riverwood is all you need to say! Most people have heard of this course, so once you play it you can’t wait to play again.. It’s one of the best golf courses in the 75 mile area without a doubt!

This would've been an easy 5-star review for me had it not been for the greens being recently aerated and sanded. The course was nearly empty and I was paired with a very nice gentleman. It was a great day of golf on an otherwise very well conditioned course. If it were closer (I drove down from the Clearwater area) I would definitely play again once the greens are healed.

Weather report called for rain midday.

Multiple open tee times prior to 1pm, but Pro Shop would not let me go off early because of the GN rate, rules and guidelines. Hmmm... ??

Anyway, course is a Gem!

Albeit greens had been punched 7-10 days prior.

All greens were bumpy, punched holes filled with sand and topped with sand.

Understand the course maintenance...

Sent me off the back nine first. Five of the nine flag sticks were laying off to the side. Maintenance must’ve went through all the greens and forgot to put the flag sticks back. Pretty much ruined the game just because of the aggravation. Pro shops answer was oops

This is a beautiful course which we always play when visiting from Scotland. It is a great layout winding through quiet wooded areas with water on most holes providing a strong, but fair challenge to all levels of golfer. There are several opportunites for that one "shot of the day".

The fairways, greens and bunkers are always in lovely condition and a pleasure to play. It is complemented by an excellent practice range with free warm up balls to loosen up and a nice inviting clubhouse. The organisation is slick and the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Indeed on our last visit I had booked to play on the wrong day and the team could not have been more helpful in sorting out my mistake and fitting us into the schedule. It saved my bacon as I'd kept this treat for the last day of our golf trip to celebrate a friends 60th! Do not miss this course if you get the chance, you won't be disappointed. We will be back in Sept/Oct to take on the challenge again.

This is a great course and fun course. I’ll play anytime especially at the summertime prices and pace of play.

Great course very challenging and in great shape other than greens being sanded. I will go back again. Great layout and staff was very good. It just would’ve been nice to have been notified that the greens were undergoing maintenance before playing.
