About
Monroe's Bear Creek Golf Club is situated in the heart of Walton County. It's less than an hour from Atlanta, making it a conveniently close getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The course originally opened in 1990 but in 2008 it changed ownership and underwent a major renovation that elevated its conditions to rival that of any of the area's best golf courses. The bunkers were rebuilt and re-sanded and the fairways were re-conditioned. Bear Creek G.C. has always been known for its excellent greens, which have a reputation for being some of the state's finest putting surfaces. The layout measures 6,585 yards from the back tees, which may seem short but there are some ups and downs throughout that will make it feel much longer.

Great Experience!
The grounds crew have done a wonderful job getting this course in shape. Fairways are fine, greens are superior and they are sodding the troubled tee boxes. The staff are friendly and welcoming and that makes for a good golfing experience.
Great condition and Great Staff
This was my second time playing this course. It was in tip top condition, great fairways, and some of the best greens around. The staff in the pro shop were very nice. Definitely will be coming back.
Clubhouse employees
The clubhouse employee i had a interaction with after arriving on time for my tee off was not what i expected.
There expectations for players and customers at this course is way too high. They try to rush you round the course not being able to have fun if your just starting out.
I would highly not recommend going to this course. Clubhouse employee wouldnt give us our second cart with 3 players playing. Terrible service.
Needs work
I was paired with a great grouping and as always I enjoy the game. However, the place was super slow, tee boxes too hard, and it seemed as if sprinklers on many holes were just leaking everywhere creating streams and pools of water. Certainly not the price I would normally play for a course like this. The lack of a driving range as well makes it a place I wouldn’t go back to again.
Fun course but we started over an hour past our tee time.
The title says it all. Over an hour late to tee off and that was the story for everyone on Saturday. Apparently they are getting more carts in a couple weeks so hopefully that will solve their problem. The staff were really kind, but I didn’t get a good first impression from the owner.
