About
Monroe's Bear Creek Golf Club is situated in the heart of Walton County. It's less than an hour from Atlanta, making it a conveniently close getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The course originally opened in 1990 but in 2008 it changed ownership and underwent a major renovation that elevated its conditions to rival that of any of the area's best golf courses. The bunkers were rebuilt and re-sanded and the fairways were re-conditioned. Bear Creek G.C. has always been known for its excellent greens, which have a reputation for being some of the state's finest putting surfaces. The layout measures 6,585 yards from the back tees, which may seem short but there are some ups and downs throughout that will make it feel much longer.

First time playing it since it was Woodlake and a 9 hole course. Wish they had logo balls and beer on Sunday!
Rude Rude Rude
The person working the pro shop was completely rude and out of line. My son and I were checking in for tee time . My 20 year old son was getting a few snacks and some water. The person working was saying boy you must be smoking pot. I told him no he is with me and he doesn’t smoke anything. So my son pays for the snacks and water , and the person says again boy that’s a lot of snacks for some one. You either have smoked pot or you are going to smoke pot. I told him once again my son doesn’t smoke. This is very unprofessional and rude. I will not be back to this golf course again. That’s too bad because otherwise everything else was good.
Bear Creek
One of my favorite courses. Love the layout, greens are always fast and true. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend Bear Creek Golf Course.

Nice course for the money. Good greens. Course has some blind spots , but was pretty open.

The course is in excellent shape - especially the greens. they are smooth and fast. Pace of play was a little slow, but the course was full because it was such a nice day. No complaints.
One of My Favorite Courses
Though it has been wet, cold and windy, it is always a pleasure to play Bear Creek! The staff and owners are friendly and fantastic people! The course is always fun and we always hate to finish a round! If you haven't played here...you need to give it try!

The course has really gone downhill. We were also chased by the lawn care staff for three holes.
