Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
About
Situated in the heart of Lowcountry, the Golf Club at Wescott Plantation is part of one of the area's oldest plantations. There are 27 holes of golf available at the club, which are divided into three nine-hole courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin. Although each golf course has a different character and scenery, they are all dappled with centuries-old live oaks and wetlands. The Oak Forest Course takes its name from the original plantation and has wider fairways than the other two courses. Lush vegetation frames each hole and the classic bunkering embodies the traditional feel of the course. The eighth hole is the signature hole of the entire golf course, distinct for both its scenery and difficulty. Par will be tough on this par 3 with a lake bordering the entire left side.

real good course
the clubhouse looked great, good staff, beautiful course, greens were great but difficult for us would love to come back and play again when in the area. thanks
Great value!
Straightforward layout. Rough penalizing but fair. Greens were in excellent condition and rolled true. Great value, great experience. Highly recommend and will play again.
Love this course. Well maintained and great value.
Wescott is my local course and I play here often with my kids. With the layout (three sets of nine-holes) it never seems over-crowded and pace of play is excellent. Course is well maintained and you can find great deals from GolfNow for all tee times. Come check it out!
Fair price for a fair course
The course was kept up with and they did not pack us like sardines. Not a bad course for $30 that day.
Great value
Course was in wonderful shape, especially after a long, wet summer and we got a great deal. Only downside is having to travel all the way out to the far reaches of North Charleston.
great shape
Greens ran true and fast but still held the approach. Always great to play
best deal in the tri-county
Short and sweet. Fairways were perfect, greens were too. Perfect. Just go.
Fun course with fast greens
I was a little concerned when I arrived to find that there was a big tournament going on but somehow they routed us on two of three nine hole tracks and we didn't really have anyone in front of us all day. I was a single and was paired with two amiable, but novice golfers (not that I'm exactly Tiger myself). If I had been on my own I'd have been able to get around in 3.5 hours ez.
Greens were very fast but rolled well. Pretty course, fun layout, well maintained. Overall a very enjoyable day.
27 Holes of golf - course in great shape- maintained well
Nice course and you can pretty much play at your own pace. Plenty of water as I walked and played 27 holes. Bunkers are excellent as well as course conditions.
Love the layout
I really enjoy playing this course because of the great layout and the 27 holes the course provides however the rates are normally a little high for me to play it as often as I like play the course. Thanks GolfNow for offering such a great deal!
Terrific 27 hole facility!
This course will test all your skills. Pick the right clubs if you want to score. Don't fire at every pin if you want to beat your handicap.
I will definitely be back.
this course is wonderful
excellent course. beautiful layout. great greens. I will definitely return to play again.
maintained well, dismissive staff
The course was in very good shape, mostly just from the massive rain fall we have received. This course also drains better than some rival courses. The greens are challengingly fast with minor undulations. Locals play individual holes while you are on the course (one time I had to hit up on a green with a dozen balls on it from a local). The staff is dismissive and unfriendly. Quite a few duffers, even on a weekday that extend play. For the money, I will stick to Legend Oaks, which is not as nice, but the staff are genuinely happy to cater to your needs instead of frustrated that you are breathing their air......oh yea, and it is much more affordable to boot.
the course could be exceptional with the right team in place
we booked this tee time while vacationing in the charleston area, having played most of the other courses offered on site we picked Wescott because we hadn't been there.we arrived at 1030 for our 1106 tee time, the parking lot was full so we anticipated a long day with temps in the high 90s,right away we learned that 9 of the 27 holes were closed for the day and EVERYONE was on the other 18. my brother and i were paired with a great couple from the area for the first nine, the course had taken ALOT of rain the past few weeks but was still very fair.our problems were that there was no WATER on the course and the "cart"person was not working that day,my brother became dehydrated by the 15th hole as we were not allowed to get a cooler to carry with us..bad call in the heat...didn't like the fact that i was "upset" by the lack of compassion my brother recieved so in my humble opinion they could do a better job...all the way around.
Dry course conditions despite record rainfall in the area
We were extremely surprised to find the greens and fairways (except in a maybe 2 very limited spots) very dry despite record rainfall in the Charleston/Summerville area.
this is a nice course for the money!!
I have played this course many times since they opened some years ago. It is probably in the best shape it has ever been..
Great course well kept
I have played course many times. Close to my home.
Course in very good shape
Overall, the course is in very good shape. It seemed they aerated about 3 or 4 weeks ago, so the greens are almost back to rolling really smoothly. In a threesome who were not playing very well, we still managed to play in about 4 hours. Great experience, and well worth the price.
Worth the $30
The course is in pretty good shape despite all the rain, it was a little wet in some places and some of the bunkers became water hazards. The greens are still coming back from being aerated a few weeks ago but roll fast and smooth and were challenging. The course played fast, hardly anyone on the course at 11:00, the weather was not that great so that may have had something to do with it. I paid $30 which is about what this course is worth. Will continue to play there if I can get deals like this, there normal fees are too high for the type of course it is.
