About
Located in Gainesville, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is one of the area's most popular public courses. The 27-hole layout is divided intro three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines, the Village, the School, and the Mill, share a beautiful rolling landscape provided by the surrounding foothills of the Appalachians. The School nine is the second longest of the three. Water comes into play on four holes, more than on any of the other nines. The course finishes with a memorable water hole. The par-5 ninth hole has two ponds that wrap around the green. Besides the water, you'll also have strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There are many challenging holes at Chicopee Woods G.C., but none of the courses are overly punishing for high handicappers.

Nice course, Great staff
Nice course in Gainesville. Currently undergoing some renovations (1 working bathroom for the whole crowd). Indoor grill did not open, but they had burgers and hotdogs outside. Nice layout. Greens were in great shape. Challenging course layout. Pace of play was a little slow at 8 AM. Best part was the warm and welcoming staff!

Played Mill and Village 9s; the better 2 of the 3 available, in my opinion.
First, big kudos to the starter who informed me that I was booked with 3 slow players and he allowed me to jump out as a single...smooth sailing on the first 9 holes.
Got stuck behind 3 very slow and very poor players on the next 9, and they never even thought of asking me to play through.
The course was in very good shape, the fairways were fast, and the 1 bunker I played from was quality sand. The greens looked beautiful, rolled smoothly, but played pretty slow.
The driving range had almost no grass.

North GA’s Finest
I hate to leave a good review and have the course become saturated :) but all around best value I’ve ever had on GolfNow. Fun for all handicap levels, by far the best fairways and greens for the price range. Super friendly staff, well kept greens and under brush maintained so you can let the big dawg eat with confidence. Beautiful greens, bunkers and fairways- heck of a value!

Mill to Village
Course is really nice. I can't wait to see what it looks like during the summer months once all the grass has come back in. Played 18 as a single, got a pair that joined me off the tee. Was very enjoyable. The foursome ahead of us were a bit slow and we kept on catching up to them in very short order even after giving them almost a full hole lead. On the back 9, I lost my other group and finished up alone. Same foursome kept holding up the pace and only offered to let me play through on a par 3 while they were standing on the green waiting for me to tee off. Unfortunately, I am not that confident in my play and told them to go on ahead. Then the foursome behind me was rushing me to play while I was still waiting for those ahead of me. All in all, the course is wonderful. Just have to be aware of those playing around you.

HS golfers
Great course, since moving out this way closest to me. Really like it overall. Just wish I was told I was going off behind 9 HS groups. I have a 2 daughters and am introducing them to the game but kind of painful to take 45 minutes to get through 2holes. Cart lady told us Village was wide open and we swung out there to salvage the round which was cool ended up getting in 15 holes before 8am when they expect carts back. Might of been able to finish 18 if they were ok with 830. Will definitely be back , good course and clearly popular.

Slow
Understand golf has gotten popular. So I try to avoid the course on weekends. But on a late Tuesday afternoon, we waited on every shot. Might be the most overcrowded course in the Metro Atlanta area.
