About
Located in Gainesville, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is one of the area's most popular public courses. The 27-hole layout is divided intro three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines, the Village, the School, and the Mill, share a beautiful rolling landscape provided by the surrounding foothills of the Appalachians. The School nine is the second longest of the three. Water comes into play on four holes, more than on any of the other nines. The course finishes with a memorable water hole. The par-5 ninth hole has two ponds that wrap around the green. Besides the water, you'll also have strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There are many challenging holes at Chicopee Woods G.C., but none of the courses are overly punishing for high handicappers.

Great course layout
Challenging holes and good price. I like the 27 hole layout, would like to play Mill more often.
Good Solid Golf
This course consistently delivers solid golf with good playing conditions. Good mix of holes on all three 9’s.

Waited more than an hour to tee up and couldn't play the second nine holes
I came here to play with my inlaws and waited more than an hour to tee up and couldn't play the second nine holes. The staff members were very unfriendly and did not even try to clarify on all the delays and only emphasized brining back carts on time. The course was decent, but I was not pleased with the experience here at all and I definitely would not recommend this place to others.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

It’s been several months since I have played and the folks and course were as always. The season change will green the place up more soon and only improve things even more.

Great course, but slow play
Chicopee is a great 27 hole layout, but play always seems to be slow bc this course is always so crowded.

Always a joy
Fairways are still brown and low, but the greens are near perfect. Love the course and the people, would like to see a clubhouse update starting with the restrooms.

As solid as it gets
It is hard to find anything bad to say about Chicopee. I'll knit pick in a second, but that's all they are. The course is extremely popular and most people's go-to choice probably in a 20 mile radius. The staff is always friendly and professional, and they do as good a job as possible maintaining a good pace of play, considering its popularity. The practice facilities are well above average and the course itself is fun and a good test of your game. In season, conditions are always impeccable. My only knit pick is the restaurant could be better equipped with food and drink options and stay open later as it is typically closed when you get back in from an afternoon round. Thankfully, there is a brewery right down the street. Also, weekends, even in the winter are packed solid. Not a major issue but you need to get there earlier if you want to practice as carts are limited and you will have to wait on shuttles unless you want to walk to the practice area. All and all, it is one of our group's favorite courses and the price for a round cannot be beat for courses in this area.

Very slow greens…
We are living in the Flowery Branch and we have been playing here for last 15 years…
The green got slower and slower for last few years…
The greens are very slow… ( used be nice and fast in the even winter time with painted surface…).

Golf
Good golf course. Below Average pace of play. Would strongly approve of the Ranger finding the slow group and ask them to speed up. Rangers mainly ride around and do NOTHING. No excuse for 3 or even 4 groups on the same hole. Please find that one group and hustle them up.
