With an excellent location surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains to one side and overlooking Georgia's Great Lake on the other, Lanier Islands Legacy Golf Course provides the perfect setting for a round of golf. The diverse, rolling landscape ranges from dense forest to open meadows to pristine beaches. Water has a strong presence throughout the golf course, coming into play on 12 holes. Many of them play right along the lake's shoreline. At 6,580 yards, the course is not particularly long but it is still a formidable challenge for long hitters since it requires quite a few demanding carries over the water. One of the most memorable holes for this reason is the par-4 12th, which presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity if you dare to cut the corner.

Great time!

Beautiful and challenging course on the banks of Lake Lanier. Free range ball, free snacks and food, and free sodas and water. Staff was overly nice and accommodating. Litttle pricey for everyday golf but if you get a hot deal

Or go for special outing it’s hard to beat.

Wow the course was great

I thought the presentation of the course was fabulous and the free food included was a nice touch. I lost to many balls to the water but had a blast! The staff was friendly and had a very good time. I played the course many years ago and it has improved since then. Great weather and a challenging course for an average golfer.

Pricey but worth it!

Although the cost was a bit more than I can spend on a regular basis, It was definitely worth the money. The course was in excellent shape, especially the greens. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well.

Fantastic Golf Experience

It was a warm day in early February and we had a blast playing this course. The scenic beauty of all 13 lake-touching holes was breathtaking. The greens were super fast so goold luck with downhill putts!

도전적인 홀이 많이 있어요. 비거리가 많이 나가시는 분은 좋은데.....

캐리로 200m가 안되면 물 못 건너는 홀도 있어요.

그린은 빠르고 페어웨이도 너무 좋아야...

Nice but Slow

Nice course with terrific views of Lake Lanier. Friendly staff, great practice area. Pace of play is terrible and no ranger to encourage slow groups to pick it up. Sending electronic messages to cart GPS screens does nothing. Ruins the experience.

The BEST GOLF EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

This place is everything they advertise and more! The staff is over the top with customer service. They meet you at your vehicle and take your clubs to your cart with your name on it. The practice balls, food and drinks are included in your price. This will definitely be one of my favorite courses to play a round at for now on!!!

Keep this up and everyone I know will be going here to play, no matter the drive!😂😂😂 They don’t have enough stars for me to give them 10 stars. I LOVE this place!
