Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Piper Nine

Course was in excellent shape. Greens were in great condition. Had avoid day and experience in the course.

Great deal on a very nice course wth excellent conditions. Pace of play lackluster.

Lot's of water. Greens very consistent. Never had to wait to hit a shot. Fairways were properly mowed where the ball never had to be touched to hit a good shot.

Great golf course. The staff was very friendly and the value can't be beat.

We new ahead that the greens were under aeration but for the price we decide to play and were not disappointed. Like course layout, played Sand and Bay courses both were in nice shape.

One of the most enjoyable golf course in the north mrytlebeach area played sand and piper not to difficult but fun to play very friendly staff

The greens are excellent. Course is undergoing significant maintenance renovations. Many trees removed and bunkers reduced or removed. New turf has been installed and some turf has grown in nicely while other areas have a little way to go. Best bang for the buck on the Grand Strand.

Played Sandpiper Bay (Piper and Bay 9s) as a 2-some. Nice layout but can see where removal of trees would/did open up the overall course. Would have been a LOT harder course back when they were still in play. Pace was OK but ended up waiting frequently on the first 9 which impaired our enjoyment.

I was paired with a group as I was single. Enjoyed the course some long par threes and par 4. Course was in great shape, Conditons of fairways and greens were great, staff was friendly and they picked the bag from the bag drop and put it on the cart. I would recommend this course and will come back.

Maybe because it was early in the season and the area needed rain, but the fairways were pretty hard and had some places where grass seemed a little sparse. Some water would probably fix this. Greens were ok but could use some rolling as I had a few putts that bounced to the hole. We were going to have lunch after the round but the bar/grill did not seem to have table service and the single bartender who appeared to be taking both food and drink orders seemed really stressed so we passed on lunch. Would recommend with caveats. Ok for the price paid.

Play was very slow (5 hours plus round) but unfortunately that is very typical at these resort courses. Staff was very friendly and course was in good shape except for the slow greens. The course is a very good value and fun to play unless you hit the ball as badly as I do but that’s not the courses fault. :>)

They had a great deal of play the day I played but the pace of play was not too slow. Staff was great & course was fairly well maintained. Greens were a little too slow for my liking but not bad.t GOLF NOW'S hot deal price I will play often when I am in town

The course is in good condition . the Greens were a little shaggy

My wife and I played the Piper and the Bay course. It was in very good condition-nice tee boxes and fairways. The greens were good but a bit slow for bermuda greens. I would have preferred them to be a bit faster but they still putted very well. My wife said she really enjoyed the play for the Ladies Tees. She said they were good, level tees and good distances to her play. Most of all, this was a Great Value for the price we got from Golf Now. We look forward to playing again and hopefully the next time we can play the Sand Course.

Really great course. Greens were in pretty good shape. really nice staff, clubhouse. Will play again if back this way. Met some really nice folks while playing.

good course, played it many times, range , putting, and chipping sites. play was a bit slow [over 4 1/2 hours]

Very nice course. Photos are a little deceiving as I thought it would be a top of the line complex. Not top of the line, however, above average. No complaints. Great course for the money. Also note that my round was early in the golf season so I would not expect it to be in peak condition quite yet.

Sandpiper has the best greens for the courses in the Calabash area and the fairways were in fantastic shape. Very scenic and somewhat challenging course.

The staff at Sandpiper Bay are always the very best. They treat you like a member and give you their up front attention. Course is making many changes, but still in very good shape. May need to bring back a few more workers to get in back to the 2010 Golf course of the year.
