About
Winter Park Pines Golf Club has offered one of the most affordable rounds in the greater Orlando area since first opening in 1968. The course has a traditional design that is ideal for beginners though it's also great if you're looking for a quick, casual round. The par-70 golf course may seem odd with a par-34 front nine and a par-36 back nine, but the layout manages to blend together seamlessly. The golf course has short par 4s and par 3s of varying lengths. There is one par 5 that measures 462 yards. The first half of the course is especially scenic with mature trees framing most of the holes. In addition to the golf course, Winter Park Pines also has a practice facility available. It features a driving range as well as putting and chipping greens with a bunker.

Nice Course
Well developed course with a friendly layout. The greens were a little bit Bare in certain spots but overall still good and reasonably fast. Fairways are pretty well filled in and the course is well manicured. Fair amount of water on the front not as much on the back. It’s a moderately challenging course but very fun. The only drawback I saw is there are five par threes on the back and I would prefer to have more fours and fives.

Friendly Local Course, Future Unknown
Played here 4/25, This is - and always has been - a pleasant place to play, played here many times over the past 35 years or so, The greens on the front 9 are pretty poor and have been for quite a while but most on the back 9 are better, number 15 being a notable exception. The fairways are good and the course drains really well after heavy rains, unlike some local courses. The staff is always friendly, the carts are newer and in excellent shape, and I have always enjoyed my rounds here. Unfortunately, there is a BIG unknown looming, as the course has been sold to the city of Winter Park. From what I see, the course will be closed after 4/29 for an indeterminate time and the degree of pleasantness of future rounds on this course are to be determined. Change is always difficult and I am somewhat apprehensive, but I am hopeful that the greens will be be improved, the green fees will remain low, and that it will remain a most pleasant place to play. Just MNSHO.

Condition of course
Greens and tee boxes need a lot of work. Fairways where ok.

Pace of Play is horrible
The greens were in rough shape, but it makes sense for how many people they book back to back. Pace of play is Terrible, be ready to play 5+ hours.

Greens Poor shape
Greens were in worse shape I’ve ever seen them in . Rest of the course was good. We played at 1:30 and had no trouble waiting at all.

OUR WINTER COURSE
After being away for over a year due to Covid restrictions we were very happy to return to Winter Pines and find all was the same…very friendly staff, course in even better condition and warm sunshine! We highly recommend this golf course. It’s actually the only course we use while in Florida! Thanks to Cheryl, Mark and all the other staff members!

OUR WINTER GOLF COURSE
We have been going to Winter Pines since 2014 and will continue. It’s the only course we play while we are in Winter Park for the winter from Nova Scotia. We have yet to totally par every hole so it still obviously challenge us. The staff, especially Cheryl and Mark, make each visit very welcoming!
