David L. Baker Memorial Golf
About
The David L. Baker Golf Course is an affordable public course located in Fountain Valley. It has an approachable layout that is versatile enough to appeal to a range of different skill levels. No two holes are alike but all of the greens and fairways share the same excellent conditions. Water has a prominent presence on this executive golf course with lakes and ponds running alongside many of the holes. The sloped greens are lightning fast and the fairways are tightly manicured. Beside the greens lurk treacherous sand traps that are just waiting to swallow errant shots. Although there are some tricky holes, the layout is gentle enough for beginners. It is an enjoyable and affordable round that offers excellent short game practice, no matter what skill level.

Golfer Reviews
First Round at David Baker
Course is in good condition, fast greens, even when wet. Over-all layout is good.
Great price.
Great Value
Great value for the price. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape. The greens were in great shape. For the price you can’t go wrong and the pace of play for their morning tee times was phenomenal.
Night golf
Now Days it gets dark earlier than your summers golf but here they have lights and with the night glow balls great time .
This course has great features
Excellent course to walk. Challenging enough and very friendly staffs.
11/28/20 Review
Pros:
Burgers/Sandwiches excellent
Grateful we could play by ourselves (2 of us) and not get paired up.
Love the short distances.
Cons:
Condition/maintenance has declined a lot. Grass/dirt pretty bad.
We saw 2 dead rotting possums on course. Blood, flies, gross.
Strange:
3 distance tee boxes all pushed together to same point. So no handicaps/yardage differences.
Small 18
It's s a nice course to work on your short game. All par 4's are drivable if your woods are long enough or driver is straight. Greens are nice and fast. So be right when you're reading your putts. Only downside is no par 5s. Would play again but not for $48.
