About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Good time
Played there on a rainy day. The course and greens were in really good shape. The bunkers are phenomenal! Loved it and will visit again soon.

We always enjoy playing this course. Super friendly staff. Great conditions. Fast pace of play. The greens were a bit rough this time, which isn't the norm.

Always a very good course
Course we in very good condition as always. Greens had a few too many divot marks. People need to be more respectful of the greens and fix divot marks. Slow players shouldn’t be told 4 times by the ranger to speed up.

Best Value in the State
Never played a nicer course for $45. Collars have a bad history but finally filled in this summer. Everything was in good shape. Being bentgrass greens, they were really soft and riddled with pitch marks, but they still rolled great, none of the pitch marks effected the roll. Perfect making speed.

Another great round as always!
Edgewater never disappoints! Been playing there for the past 6 months and look forward to many more rounds there!
Avoid on weekends
They keep a Gap of 3 minutes gap between two parties which makes the round extremely slow. If one party is playing slow which is more than likely there is a big back up. You will require 5 hr to finish the round. Not worth driving 1 Hr to get stuck for 5 hrs.

Edge water is a great place to play
Edge water is in great shape and has great people working there. Review can be that simple, but there are a few more things as well. Overall the layout is very good. Holes are varied, there are some tough shots to determine what club to hit off the tee and there are a good mix of hole type and relative difficulty. Like any course there are a couple of holes that drive you crazy or you think should be done a different way. The tree on 18 is notable for this. My only complaint is the sand is quite heavy and the way the bunkers are laid out you can get some very challenging lies in the bunker that could be smoothed out. Out of 4 bunker shots I had, only one wasn’t on the upside , downside or side hill which can get frustrating.
Overall, I go to Edgewater once per year and always have a good time. It’s a good value for the condition and layout of the course. Driving range is nice too!

Must Play - Worth the drive.
Overall the course is still in great shape. Even though it’s in the summer and very dry. Greens were in good shape very wet. Beautiful course and a great layout. Definitely worth the drive

This is an amazing course, just a short drive from Charlotte. Course is always in great shape. The price can't be beat. Staff are always friendly. If we lived closer, we'd play even more. Highly recommend!

Great golf course - must try in the CLT region
Once you find the course - what an absolute pleasure to play. Fairway width can be forgiving, yet the golf course challenges you in many other ways. Water plays a role on some of the golf course - the course is well bunkered - and most greens are elevated. The greens are showing amount of play - and not many people fixing their ball marks. The greens seemed a little "shaggy" (not unnormal - in the heat of August). All in all - well worth the drive. I'll certainly be returning.
