About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

1st time playing here we will be back
My wife and I played for the 1st time since Sept. The course was in great shape. We were paired with a couple of young men and we had a great time. This is about 40 minutes from where we live but it was well worth the drive. Greens were fast and true.

Hidden Gem less than an Hour from Charlotte
Took a chance to drive an hour from Charlotte to this course seeing all the positive reviews. At such a reasonable price, I was skeptical about whether this course was going to be well-maintained. Spoiler alert -- it was WELL worth the money, almost a steal of a deal. The track was fun, very playable, and in great shape -- hats off to the grounds crew as they really do an amazing job keeping up this course. The greens were as good as I've played in some ultra-premium courses. Staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. Definitely will come back.

Best Public Course in Area
This course is probably the most underrated in the Charlotte area. Always fun to play with a great layout and mix of challenges. Course is in good shape (as usual) and its incredibly cheap ($50 for weekend round). Sometimes I think people avoid the course because its cheap (don’t trust it) and further away for most, but that’s a mistake. While I don’t understand how they’re developing the area, they've clearly made golf a priority and highly recommend trying this one if you haven’t.

Great course absolutely love playing here. Although need to work on how you set people off the tee’s. There were at least 6-10 groups in front of my group seriously need to learn how to set people off the back nine and split major groups between holes. Also need to learn to tell the people that play here to have golf courtesy and let smaller groups play thru them.
