About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Great…..but……
The golf carts need work. Backfiring and lousy brakes made it an adventure each time we moved.
Cart paths should be more accessible to the greens and tees for people who aren’t as mobile.

edge water golf course
golf course has an amazing layout, is one of the best courses in the area and is most definitely worth the hour long 50 mile drive from Charlotte. highlights include the elevated tee shots and beautiful landscaping at a lakeside resort style course for a reasonable price. overall greens were decent and fairways, tee boxes were in good shape just with many divots. bunkers and greens were pure but there were a lot of ballmarks and patchy areas that are in repair but not enough to ruin your time at this beautiful golf course.

Good layout
My first time playing. Long drive from Charlotte, but worth it. Good layout. No houses on the course. No roads nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Course was in great shape. Pace was fine, but not great at 4.5 hours. Only negative I would mention is the greens were soft and a little slow. I had a few approach shots plug on the greens. Not sure if they got a storm or they are having to water them a lot. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be back.
