About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Horrible managment
Long story short. I had my 7yr old daughter with me. The PGA "pro" chuck little was rude from the start and demanded $5 for her to ride with me. Every course we play in the area always welcomes the kids and they let her play for free if I paid for myself. Chuck got wind and came out and saw my daughter hit a ball then pulled up to her demanding that she pay $55 to play any further. He was so rude to her she started crying. His response when i said see what you did to her was "it's not my problem or fault". Called his boss today another PGA "pro" Matt Gotto and he was defensive rude to was not in anyway during remorse for the way my daughter was treated. He then said he was busy and literally going up on me. KIDS AREN'T WELCOME THERE.
Edgewater Golf Club welcomes junior golfers, and we have reduced rates for juniors in the afternoon. Children under the age of 10 can play for $10 after 3:00 with a paid adult. Golfers age 11 -20 get reduced rates beginning at 12:00 each day, and a greater reduction in price after 3:00. We called many public golf courses in the area to see if our policies are in line with others, and they are. Not one golf course allows children under 10 to play in the morning, free or otherwise. You booked on a busy Sunday morning at 7:30 as a single with a threesome that was already on the tee sheet. You checked in and said your daughter was just riding in the cart with you. This is a game that requires honesty and integrity, and if we are to pass this game on to future generations, we need to set a good example and follow the rules. By your estimation, courses only support junior golf if they let you sneak your daughter on for free.

Lancaster woods
Have played here many times. Course is always immaculate. With the COVID thought the tee times were spaced further apart then 8 minutes. Course is great. Has challenges but great time. Bathrooms.... gawd no. Men have it easy but women UGH .
I will play again though . Golf now specials!!

The golf course is nearly good as a private golf course. Staff is friendly and courteous.
Hope they can expand the amenities; proper bar-grill, etc.

Excellent customer service
I came in recently and had the best customer service by a girl that worked in the golf shop I believe her name was Emily? She was so polite and a great worker. She made the most of my golfing experience!!

First time at Edgewater
This was our first time at Edgewater and it was fantastic. The course was in fabulous conditions, the greens/tees and the fairways were all in great shape. I live the layout. I play from the seniors and the course was manageable and rewarding for even an ok shot. I will definitely return.

Tee it high watch it fly
From the first tee to the last just a beautiful layout. Fun challenging holes with elevated tees, you actually have to think about your shots and club selection. Greens are true and roll fast but not crazy fast. Collars of some greens are full of Poa Annua but they keep it mowed down. Great value and we don’t mind the hour drive from Charlotte. If I lived closer I would seriously consider a membership.

Great Find
This course is a hidden gem. Great elevation changes, challenging holes, straightaway holes, easy par 3s and a hard par 3 that will make you stop and take a picture! I’ve enjoyed this course every time I’ve been out and you will too. Course condition is great.

Best value at beautiful course!
Never had a bad experience at this hidden gem! About an hours drive from Chapin area and well-worth the drive! Rarely, if ever, crowded and we are always amazed at that this course is not crowded!!
Do yourself a favor and go tee it up at Edgewater!!

The course did not have the reservation and payment. We were unable to contact anyone at golf now. The course honored the reservation please make sure you pay them

Well Worth The Drive
Went and played last Tuesday....outside of the social distance rules that everyone is under everything was very nice. Will definitely make the hour drive from Charlotte again.

WORST Aprons or Collars in the Carolinas
This course can be fantastic if they didn't KILL all the grass around EVERY green!
I've played a dozen Carolina courses during COVID and Edgewater is the ONLY place with this problem!!
