Why are the fringes around ALL the greens basically dead?

I've played quite a few courses during COVID-19 and Edgewater is the ONLY place with this issue.

Still a great place to play but c'mon man!

This is a beautiful course. The pace was good, especially considering how crowded it was. The greens and fairways are amazing. This was my second time playing here and my three buddies also enjoyed it. We’ll definitely be back soon.

II have always found the fairways to be in great shape and the greens are always in perfect putting condition. If it were possible to pick this course up in its entirety and set it down in the Charlotte region, you would have to book a tee time 2 months in advance and pay twice the green fees. If you haven't played this course you are cheating yourself out of a great day on the course. During the Covid19 scare some on course amenities and clubhouse areas weren't available but you were told in advance that would be the case.

I love the course and people working there. Have played this course about 30 times. IT has a lot to offer for any handicapper. Very glad they finally finished all the bunkers. Greens are in good shape as well. I have to big asks for every course. First, they out up every type of reminder they can possibly do about fixing ball marks on the greens.Second is to remind groups especially now since that are many new golfers out there , that they need to let faster players play through. Other than that I love everything about Edgewater!

Excellent layout &conditioning, nice staff, but slow pace of play due to crowded course. Will definitely return.

This round was played during quarantine so take that into consideration with this review. The driving range was closed. The putting green was still bumpy after punched greens about 3-4 weeks ago. You could practice short game with your own balls if you wanted so that was a little helpful. The course is tight. Course handicap was 4 over my normal handicap to give you an idea of it’s challenge. Bring your forecaddy so you don’t lose any what are thought of as perfect drives. I lost two. Back tees have limited flat ground. The fairways are in decent shape for April and greens are ok after being punched. They could’ve used a good rolling though. I’m biased against bent grass though. Certainly a challenging golf course esp the par 3s which measured 230, 173, 211, 247 and a 1-2 club hurting wind at times. I’ll certainly be back now that I’m more familiar with it.

This was the first time we have played Edgewater and it’s almost an hour drive for us. When we arrived we were told that the driving range wasn’t open. That was extremely disappointing, other than that this course is outstanding. Great conditions large greens exceptional condition. I will certainly play again but please post on line if the range is closed. The staff was very friendly and took very good care of us in the midst of the pandemic.

The layout of this course is like nothing you could find in Charlotte. A bit of a drive from the Charlotte area but well worth the trip. Greens were great and fairways coming in as well. We'll be back for sure.

Love playing here! It feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Course is starting to get a little green, going to be outstanding once the fairways come in! Greens in great shape considering they had been punched a few weeks back. Staff is amazing, very friendly including Tom, the starter!

Golfers - this is a great course. Some very challenging tee shots from any set of tees. Bring your draw and your fade. Straight works too. (That’s what she said). Seriously though, it’s a great course. 40 moms from fort mill. Check it out.

I love this course and I’ve probably played it at least 20 times now. Usually the staff is realistic about conditions, but when I asked about the greens they mentioned nothing about all the sand and recent punch. No discounted rate for what was in my experience far from the norm at this course was a bit bothersome.

Lack of grass on tee boxes and thin in the fairways. They have put new white sand in the bunkers but I drove seventy seven miles to get to the course and I play a course in much better shape so I won't be back.
