Edgewater Golf Club

Edgewater is one of my favorites despite the fairly lengthy drive from Charlotte, but I hadn't been there for a couple months due to the afternoon only Golfnow tee times and some challenges with the condition of the greens. However, with cooler temperatures and just enough sunlight without DST the time was right. The general conditions of the course were as always great and the greens were much better. I was happy to get at least one more round in there before the season is over for me.

it was a little wet from resent rain but not bad.

the bunkers are very nice and well maintained, the t boxes and fairway were pretty nice for November too.

The Greens have grown back and are looking pretty decent.... they are however very shaggy and slow by Edgewater standards. I assume they are still in recovery mode.

Now the group in front of us were beginners, and very slow, didn't know etiquette.... not repairing ball marks etc... didn't know what I was asking when I finally asked to "play through " on hole 5. But it worked out and I think they know now what that means.

all in all good day.... greens should be fine very soon.

Greens are in good shape, I heard they were terrible at the end of summer. I would play again.

I always enjoy this layout. The bent grass greens are ok, but are still bumpy from the recent aeration. Range has been rebuilt. New clubhouse and massive putting green will be ready in the spring. Rates are sure to rise in 2025.

Greens a little bumpy and hairy but on the improve

Course was nice but greens were really bumpy and slow making it hard to judge putting speeds.

It took me a few holes to find my groove. This course is very punishing on wayward shots. But if you can keep it in front of you, there are opportunities to shoot a good score.

It offers a good variety of terrain. Plenty of Ip and down holes, dog legs and shots that require that you hit a draw or fade. The last hole has a big tree right in the middle of the fairway that you need to shape a shot around it. It is widely placed at the end so you can decide which direction you want to go.

I enjoyed the round very much.

Fun, spacious layout. Picturesque views, pine framed fairways, and great elevation changes. Bent grass greens were very receptive. Loved the property and look forward to completed clubhouse and practice area. I played it tipped out at just over 7100 yards, fun to play a couple par 3s that were over 230. Ball seemed to travel a long way with speedy fairways. Gas carts to contend with the hills were very nice, spacious and nice layout. I will definitely be back ... soon.
