Boulder Creek Golf Club - Desert Hawk/Coyote Run
About
Boulder Creek Golf Club boasts three nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Though this Boulder City club is a bit off the beaten path, the scenic location is well worth the drive. The terrain provides different challenges on each nine. The Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combination begins with the longest of the three nines. Desert Hawk has plenty of room for lengthy drives and clear shots to generous fairways. There are also opportunities to work on your short game skills, it's a nine that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The back nine is just as diverse with varying elevation changes that depending on where your ball lands can either be a boon or a punishment. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes.

Coyote Run: 9th, par-4, 469: Arguably the most complex hole on a sophisticated nine, where pars are well-earned. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Eldorado Valley: fourth, par-4, 409: A tough if straightforward hole, but it still can be touchy trying to hit a green that is this well protected by bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Good Value for Vegas
Nice course decent shape would definitely play again.
Nice stop if you're not in a hurry
Great course, great layout, great shape, greens roll nice..friendly staff.... Efficient lady in pro shop got us out almost an hour early.. Good thing as we finished just at dusk after 5 hr round... No marshall/player Asst around. Also found out pro shop and restaurant close at 600 pm.. So if you finish after that just be aware there'll be no food, drink or washrooms available. Otherwise, golf wise.. Good value for the dollar with golf now hot deal rate.
Good times until the wind blew
The morning was cool and the staff friendly when we pulled up. The range balls and range were nice but quite the haul to the first tee and no clock for you to keep an eye on your timeline.
Starter was nice and the practice putting green was representative of what we found on the course.
Nice layout and pretty much what you see is what you get. The wind makes this a different course. Front was a pleasant experience and was able to club well. The 30mg winds that kicked up on the back made it unplayable. We left after 16 holes. Pace was dragging due to the difficulty the wind added.
I would play it again. By the price through golf now was 55 more than resident rates.
Worth the drive
This was my group's first time playing Boulder Creek, and it didn't disappoint. As a muni, the cost is appreciably lower than many of the courses we play on our annual trip, but that doesn't mean the course skimps on quality or service. The layout is varied and decently challenging. From tee to green in good playing condition. It's worth the 30-40 minute drive from the Strip, and if you'd like, take a few more minutes to see the Hoover Dam!
Good track if you're not in a hurry
Good course layout, conditions and greens. Friendly staff and efficient lady in pro shop got us out an hour early... good thing as we finished just at dusk after a near 5 hr round. 5 some in front of us couldn't/wouldn't keep reasonable pace. Didn't see Marshall/player Asst all day.. Also FYI pro shop and restaurant close at 600 pm... So pack a lunch
Coyote
Recommend this course to anyone who wants to appreciate nature, if you are lucky enough to hear coyote howling!!
Great course
Nice layout, very minimal delays. Beautiful day, fairway and greens were in great shape. The starter was very friendly and shared a few hockey stories.
What to say?
I hate giving g negative reviews, but this was not a good golf experience. The unfriendly and unhelpful staff set a a bad tone to start out. The clubhouse does not sell drinks except at the restaurant and only fountain drinks. The drink cart was nowhere to be seen in 95 degree heat the entire day. No ball or club wash throughout the course.
However the course is challenging and fun to play, and in really good condition, just not worth what you have to pay to play.
Great 👍 👌!
Great 👍 this time of year. Greens were rolling Great. Fairways were in nice shape as well. I personally think it's worth the drive and Great value for the the $ buck. Will definitely be back.
Not Worth the Drive
Not a bad course; did not have a bad experience. Having said that, was it worth the drive and hassle to save $100? For me, in hindsight, the answer is no. The course bills itself as similar to Cascata at a fraction of the price. That is overselling it.
Again, I have had much worse golfing experiences, but I was hoping to be wowed, and found it to be average.
