Boulder Creek Golf Club - Desert Hawk/Coyote Run
About
Boulder Creek Golf Club boasts three nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Though this Boulder City club is a bit off the beaten path, the scenic location is well worth the drive. The terrain provides different challenges on each nine. The Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combination begins with the longest of the three nines. Desert Hawk has plenty of room for lengthy drives and clear shots to generous fairways. There are also opportunities to work on your short game skills, it's a nine that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The back nine is just as diverse with varying elevation changes that depending on where your ball lands can either be a boon or a punishment. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes.

Coyote Run: hole two, par-4, 443: A challenging par-4 that sports numerous fairway and greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 4th hole, par-5: This long dogleg-left is complicated by an arroyo that will pester second shots. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 8th hole, par-3. Palm trees add luster to a water-guarded green complex. A two-tiered green is protected by bunkers front and back. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 9th, par-4, 469: Arguably the most complex hole on a sophisticated nine, where pars are well-earned. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Eldorado Valley: hole 2, par-3, 168: It runs downhill from the tees and features a tricky green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Eldorado Valley: fourth, par-4, 409: A tough if straightforward hole, but it still can be touchy trying to hit a green that is this well protected by bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Vegas wind
We had to cancel our tee times because of wind, 5 out of 7 in our group are in their 80’s. I tried to cancel through your site but got knocked out each time so I called the course and canceled through them. It looked like it would have been a nice course but we didn’t even drive out.
A Course To Play
This is a great course, hard but fair. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in great shape. Bunkers were ok. If you haven’t played this course play with someone who knows the course, would be helpful. Will play here again.
Great Set Up
We played all 27 holes and enjoyed it all. Some great holes. Greens were good, early March so it was super green (the tees and greens were great).
Cold
Coldest day of the year! Nobody was on the course. Fairways were excellent, greens were in pretty good shape. Will play here again!
Great time out
Love this course. Pace of play was fantastic. Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were a touch bouncy but could be due to the current weather. Can’t wait to get out and go play this course again.
Circus Golf
Dormant grass means the ball is either in the fairway or in the rocks. Elevated greens with dormant grass meant any missed shot was now 50 yards away after rolling on the “concrete”. The only thing missing was the windmill hole and the clown face eating my ball on 18. I did however hit a 475 yard drive ion 18 because of the stupid conditions (downhill). Was booked on Lexington but moved to the Concord course and given a free beer for my troubles. Never again, I feel like I had money stolen from me based on the course condition and the high price.
Great Course
I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys a great course. It is a challenging layout. I will play here again next year!
Good course
Fun course super friendly staff
Greens were mediocre
Great course
Played here for the first time, really enjoyed the layout and the local scenery. Greens were in great shape, rolling true.
BCGC
Enjoyed the course, but it could of had more overseeing. Many of the balls rolled from the fairways to the edge or the twigs.
Great Winter Course
Boulder Creek is a fantastic winter course. I will play it again and would highly recommend it to family and friends! I really enjoyed the roadrunners and rabbits!
Challenging Course
We played Coyote and Desert today. It is a beautiful course! It is also very challenging! I would recommend it as your go to course or definitely one to enjoy on your stay in the area. Great staff.
70° and no wind
The conditions today were absolutely perfect 70° and no wind. The course is in fair condition fairways are OK overseed is starting to get very thin. The greens are patchy and bumpy and very fast I’ve been playing much better locally., and paying lower rates than this.
A Jem in the desert
Played Boulder Creek for the first time and walked the courses; Coyote, El Dorado. It has three 9 holes to play. It's a tough walk, especially after Coyote 9 to El Dorado 1. Hitch a ride for that trek at least.
The course is not too forgiven but if you know where to go, you're all good. For the first time, play with an experienced player. I did and it helped a lot.
Great staff and friendly cart girl, she came around 3 times during our round.
The only downside was, it was a very slow round. This was due in part to a tournament on the third 9.
Definitely worth the drive from the Vegas area. Eat at Dillinger's, the best burgers around and cold PBR on tap.
Great Golf Experience
Staff is very friendly while addressing any and all needs. Course played very well for winter time conditions. Pace of play was great with no waiting on any hole!
Will be back soon!!!
