Boulder Creek Golf Club - Desert Hawk/Eldorado Valley
About
There are 27 holes of championship golf at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Desert Hawk/Eldorado Valley golf course combines the longest and shortest nines. The Desert Hawk nine offers plenty of room with generous greens and wide fairways. Though Eldorado Valley is the shortest, but you would never be able to tell. The nine rewards long drives and there are unobstructed shots from the lush fairways. Water hazards come into play, mostly on the front nine, while the back nine's challenges come from the deep, natural sand bunkers that are strategically positioned along the greens. Throughout the course, golfers will enjoy a scenic and diverse landscape that shifts from desert to verdant meadows accented with colorful wildflowers.

Coyote Run: hole two, par-4, 443: A challenging par-4 that sports numerous fairway and greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 4th hole, par-5: This long dogleg-left is complicated by an arroyo that will pester second shots. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 8th hole, par-3. Palm trees add luster to a water-guarded green complex. A two-tiered green is protected by bunkers front and back. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Coyote Run: 9th, par-4, 469: Arguably the most complex hole on a sophisticated nine, where pars are well-earned. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Eldorado Valley: hole 2, par-3, 168: It runs downhill from the tees and features a tricky green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Eldorado Valley: fourth, par-4, 409: A tough if straightforward hole, but it still can be touchy trying to hit a green that is this well protected by bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/19/2025

Golfer Reviews
Good course layout, mediocre conditions
The course layout is good, but the conditions are not as good perhaps due to winter. A lot of cut grass dust all over the course dusted the golf bags and clothes.
Decent Round, wouldn’t go back til maybe peak season
Best part of this course is by far the practice facility. Incredible driving range and awesome chipping and putting greens. The carts are pretty beat up, there was a lot of instances where people had their battery die in the middle of the round. My biggest gripe is definitely the course conditions. Everything is extremely dry, hard and fast. Greens were so fast it took almost the whole front 9 to adjust. On top of that, there’s deadly sand traps everywhere. So a good drive straight down the fairway rolls an extra 20-30 yards more than it should just gets eaten up by the traps over and over again. Layout is pretty cool, but the course conditions made it just an overall very difficult round. May consider returning, but it will definitely be once I hear they re-seed the course.
Great course great price
Greens were in great condition with tough pin placements. Didn’t like the painted fairways. Looking forward to the spring growth. Staff was friendly and attentive as always.
Worth The Drive
The course was in Good Shape, Little burned up in a few spots, Greens was in Great shape. Fun Holes, the first nine was slow over 2-1/2 hours but we drove across the road to the 9 on that side and played in just under 2 hours. Great flexibility by the staff to recognize the issue and take action. Only saw the refreshment cart once...I COULD HAVE USED MORE!!
Poor grounds
All fairways were dyed/painted, with little grass.
We literally left after 9 holes was so bad.
The fairways and tee boxes are literally painted / dyed green. Grass is completely gone. No sand in bunkers. We paid for 18 holes and played 9 and left course. Nothing from golf carts to staff friendliness was even close to par. There are 20 better options in Vegas on here to choose.
