There are 27 holes of championship golf at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Desert Hawk/Eldorado Valley golf course combines the longest and shortest nines. The Desert Hawk nine offers plenty of room with generous greens and wide fairways. Though Eldorado Valley is the shortest, but you would never be able to tell. The nine rewards long drives and there are unobstructed shots from the lush fairways. Water hazards come into play, mostly on the front nine, while the back nine's challenges come from the deep, natural sand bunkers that are strategically positioned along the greens. Throughout the course, golfers will enjoy a scenic and diverse landscape that shifts from desert to verdant meadows accented with colorful wildflowers.

Cool concept with 3 9 hole courses

We started on El Dorado and finished on Desert Hawk. Desert Hawk was significantly better views and shape, especially the sand. El Dorado has pebbles and rocks in traps.

PGA Tour Championship Kind of Course

The staff was really friendly from the welcoming guy to the last person that clean my clubs at the end of the round.

Some of what you can spect:

Bag gets taken from your trunk to the golf cart.

30% off on everything in the shop,

Got a course cap with marker was around $30

You get a small bucket of ball to warm up.

Large chipping and putting practice area.

They got a cart girl with refreshments and beer. Must have.

They got 3 different 9 holes total 27.

Course conditions are excellent.

Fairway are firm but moist at the same time.

Bunker the first 9 I play sand was a bit desert sand like a bit gravely but easy to get out back 9 sand was thing.

Greens very receptive and easy to spin the ball.

I will definitely play this course again.

Short cut fairways with lots of rollout

Great municipal course, fun to play on a course that's not in the backyard of people's homes. Great desert/mountain views and good amount of greenery/trees. Good layout with a variety of holes that required accuracy, distance, and shot shaping.

Fairways were cut extremely short, coupled with wind and some downhills meant for some extremely long drives. This made it difficult to play because balls would roll out of the fairways and into the desert since nothing would stop it. Rough was dormant in December, but fluffy. Tee boxes were in great condition and were flat and cut short. Greens were exceptionally smooth. Bunkers had good sand.

Carts had GPS with green slopes (but no distance from tee). There's a grill to order food from at the turn with a great menu, need to open the menu on your phone and call in orders. Restaurant and clubhouse was a nice facility. Driving range was grass (!) but was west facing and a bit of a hike from the clubhouse. Good practice area. Carts had coolers with ice but no water bottles provided. There were refill stations on the course though.

9 minute tee time intervals meant a 4.5 hour round. The course does not let singles book unless another group of 2/3 already booked.

Beautiful course

Never played in a desert course before. Was perfect for us. The greens rolled pure. Fairways were fast after the ball bounced - need to take that into account for club selection. Great back drop of the mountains. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Best Value

BC is the best course regarding value. You cannot beat conditions of the course vs. cost! Always in good shape, greens roll nice and quick and pace of play is typically fair. Nice practice area, staff is nice…food is decent. Highly recommend this course if you are a regular player. FYI, but the “Players Card” and you get great discount on golf and range!
