Black Mountain Golf & Country Club is conveniently less than a half hour from the Las Vegas Strip, but you would think it was much further thanks to the stunning backdrop provided by the Mojave Desert. Set amid majestic mountains and beautiful desert vegetation, the golf course offers one of the most unique experiences in the Las Vegas Valley. The 18-hole golf course is comprised of two distinct nines: Founders, the original nine built in 1957 and Horizon, which opened in 1963. The course opens with its own version of Amen Corner, a challenging trio of holes that will test even the most skilled golfers. Black Mountain Golf & Country Club's back nine is more open than the front and also has more birdie opportunities. There are strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides on both nines and water hazards also come into play.

The course is in good condition
Over all the course was in good shape , greens were a bit challenging. Fees are high for course.
Great day at Black Mtn
The course was in great shape, fairways had good roll & the rough wasn't giving any extra yards; which weren't deserved anyway. lol. Par4 has added a lot to this course in the way of friendliness. Would play Black Mtn anytime.

Came as a single, was paired up very quickle no wait time involed. Very nice staff
Black Mountain Golf
The greens were really bad. The rest of the course and their people very nice.
Slooooooooooooow play...
First time on this course...the driving range is sad and that's being nice. However, the course itself was in great condition from tee box to green. The fairways were in great shape. The really bad thing about the round (besides the gale force winds, but that's no one's fault) was the slow pace of play. The twosome ahead of us played so slowly it really took some of the fun out of the round for us. At no time did we see a marshall on the course. With that said, the round was well worth the price paid and the course was great.
Nice local course
No frills. Unlike others who may pamper you with ice box and grand restrooms. But essentials are there. Cart lady was nice and came around often. Overall is nice and acceptable.

Great, but...
The course is in fantastic shape and the practice facility was great. I did not eat therefore not the full 5 stars. Only bad thing was that we had to wait for the fivesome playing in front of us. There was no ranger to push them which I thought was strange. They must of been members because they had their own carts and didn't care that we were waiting. Oh well....
INFO FROM A THIRTEEN HANDICAP
A fine local course, not really a destination course; enjoyed the golf course and the mid-size greens, had to chip and pitch a lot.
Greens
The greens were really fast on the front except for #9, that was a very slow putt from above the whole. The back was slower but consistant.
nice golf course but...
not very efficient teetime management.
We started 3 players, after 1 hole, 2 joined us to become 5, which obviously delays the play rythm ; two holes later, arrived a 6th player to split the whole team in 3-3.
Long delay at hole 1 for unknown reasons and we did not see the marshall.

nice course fast greens . great view at hole # 9. a short drive from the strip.
Good for your money
Challenging. Long, if you play from the tip. Scenery is not so attractive. Interesting to play. Recommend!

I enjoy this course so much, had great fun, The staff was friendly and helpful, will be going back again.
Changes at Black Mountain
Course has been taken over by Par 4 Golf. Not as friendly as it used to be before they took it over.
Also, they have closed down the Desert 9 so there are only 18 holes here now.

Nice place to play for us regular golfers.The biggest challenges are on the greens which are fast and hilly.
The staff and members all proved to be very friendly. All-in-all it made for a very good golf day.

Très déçu du terrain pour le prix c est correct mais pour le défi je ne le recommande pas le gens peuvent jouer a pied beaucoup d attente entre les trous
