The Club At Viniterra

Course layout is good and even though soggy , where is it not , course ,especially greens , good shape . Pace was slow due to very very crowded . Our twosome paired with another, but good golfers who were out to enjoy day like us so worked out well . Wish the threesome in front of us moved better , but started at one and got 18 in so did ok . Practice facilities good but no real clubhouse for 19 th hole . Beautiful venue , every hole secluded onto itself and lends to the natural feel of the whole course . Normally not very crowded and pace good , but recently they tell me they have been booked solid . Numerous tee boxes so easy to play according to ability .

For a time of year with wet conditions, this course drains very well, the grass (particularly the greens) are in surprisingly good shape. The over-seeding gives great fairway definition visually and the layout is the best in 50 miles. Don't miss this course if you haven't played it. It's really spectacular in the spring and summer but even at this time of year it's a great test. Play it up a set of tees perhaps at this time of year as you won't get any roll.

They don't have a real club house yet but say it will be coming soon. Most of the staff is friendly but one of the guys was a jerk. Great Course to play very challenging. As soon as they get a club house this wil be the best place to play between Richmond and Williamsburg VA.

The course is in great shape for the first of December. Greens rolled true. Pick your line and the ball goes where you putt it. Fairways are painted green so you can tell the difference between fairway and rough. Staff was friendly. Played in three hours fifteen minutes.

The overall experience at the course was great. The ball sits up on the fairways like it was on a tee.

I've played Viniterra quite a few times and have always loved the challenging layout of the course; especially from the tips. The greens are fairly large yet vastly undulated.

I'm writing a review for the first time to highlight the greens which are in the best shape I've seen them since the recent aeration the entire year. They are running extremely smooth and FAST!

This course is a hidden gem to a lot of people including the 2 of the 3 I played with, who living in Williamsburg, had never played the course.

Great course for all skill levels!

This course is exceptional! Beautiful design, every hole is wooded and lined with trees (not homes). The course is in exceptional condition - fairways, tee-boxes, greens, traps - all very well maintained. The price is unbeatable, you will not find a better course for the money. The course can be played from multiple (5-6) tee box locations, changing the landscape of the course and catering to all skill levels. If you are lucky enough to live in the area, and especially at the beautiful Viniterra community next to the New Kent Winery, life doesn't get much better (residents ride a cart to the course, then to the winery for some wine, meat and cheese afterwards!). The only thing missing is a club house (which is breaking in the fall of 2016); in the mean time, having a glass of wine at the winery isn't so bad. Enjoy!

This golf course has it all....When new club house is built this golf course property will rival any of the best country clubs in the Middle Atlantic region...Every hole different and built with character...Professional practice area as good as it gets...Oversized greens making lag putting a top priority...Play it, you will be telling your friends that it is "truly a must play"....

Played this course for the first time and was impressed... layout was challenging yet playable for my game....course was I decent shape considering I played three days after hurricane Matthew...had a good time and will be back on next trip to Williamsburg

The design of Viniterra is outstanding. The course is wooded throughout and there are few distractions from traffic, houses, etc. There is a wide selection of tees that should fit most games. The green and bunker complexes are challenging and bunker conditions were not great after all of the recent rain. Fairways and greens were in very good shape although the greens do show some wear from play and golfers not fixing their pitch marks.

I will be back.

Great course, Marshall made sure we were on pace for a speedy round even though we never saw another group, if more courses did this golf would be much more enjoyable. The staff was very friendly as well. I will be back.

Have played this course several times. Love playing here and haven't had a bad experience. Course was in great shape, staff friendly and efficient, and amenities are great. Course is very challenging and the holes are very different from one to next. Only compliant that day was the heat,(upper 90;s), but nothing can do about the heat. Cart lady was around often and courteous.

Staff was great and course conditions very good for two weeks after aeration. Enjoyed the course.. Would recommend.

This is one of the best course layouts in the area. Beautiful holes and the course is very well maintained.

Green are large and in great shape.

Each hole has a significant degree of difficulty depending on your tee box selection. Designed in and around water and wine vineyards, this course is beautiful. Good luck on selecting your favorite hole. Enjoy the friendly staff members who help give this course that extra touch that makes you want to return.

The course was very beautiful and a great challenge. It was extremely hot the day we played. The staff came around often with ice towels and the beverage girl came around alot. Great experience.

I've played this course probably close to 15-20 times and this was the best condition I think I've ever seen it in. It usually is in pretty good shape, but it was noticeably better this round. Tee boxes were flush and soft, fairways were full and well maintained, bunkers very well maintained with the appropriate amount of sand, and the greens rolled as well as I've seen from any public course in the area the last few years. Keep up the good work.

Great course. Tree lines fairways. Alert for in even lies. Greens roll true 8 in the stimp meter. Love this course staff was friendly and accommodating.

We were looking for a good alternative for Kingsmill or Royal New Kent since times were not available and were lucky enough to read the reviews for this course and decided to book an early teetime. We were so glad we played here. The layout is fantastic, the staff very friendly. The pro shop was nice enough to adjust our rates for a promotional rate they were having and it was greatly appreciated. Hands down the best value in Williamsburg golf. All in all, there are still some improvements that need to be made the pro shop and parking infrastructure but the course itself, the grass driving range and practice area were excellent. Despite a rain delay, we were able to finish. So glad we played here. It will now be on our places to play when we visit the Williamsburg area.

Challenging and varied layout. Front nine seemed to have more generous landing areas off the tee, back had some tighter holes. Plays long, so select tees accordingly. Very picturesque and secluded round of golf with cart paths winding through thick woods between many holes. Would definitely return with Golf Now deal.
