Lovely course BUT!

Great course with a good range of difficulty but extremely slow due to so many playing. At times had to wait 20 mins on some holes and eventually called it a day after 9 holes; played 9 holes in just less than 3 hours!

Arcot Hall Cramlington

Was expecting something great but turned out to be nothing special, certainly wouldn’t pay full fee. Greens were nice very fast.

Lovely course but pace of play was a real problem

Lovely course and unfortunately having to leave a negative review but were waiting on the tee boxes for 15 minutes and then had to skip holes out as it was becoming a joke.

Waste of a round!!

Incredibly slow

Lovely course in great condition but pace of play was horrendous had to skip holes to get in front of a particular group that was slowing everyone down totally spoilt the round.

Great round despite the weather

Lovely course, good challenging holes. Got drenched but we soldiered on despite the conditions. The 9th hole par 3 with pond on the left was my favourite hole. Greens ran well and general course condition was great. Didn’t stop for any refreshments after but the club house was staffed and looked rather tidy.

Great course

Great course, high quality greens and some good challenges throughout the course. Good mix of open fairways and challenges off the tee rally making you think about the hole. Enjoyed the mental challenge of the course aswel as the play.

Enjoyable round

Played with a couple of friends on a Sunday afternoon. Course in good condition, a few temporary greens still on but that didn’t really detract from an enjoyable round. Course was quite busy but we were never held up. All in all a good day out and great value.

Great day òut

Played Arcot Hall as part of a fourball for my 1st round of the year. The course was in good condition, nearly all the tee boxes were on & only 1 green was not open - temp green in use. The greens were still rather slow but I'm sure they will speed up as the season goes on as they get cut more & also dry out from hopefully fine dry weather. It's a well planned out course with a great range of interesting holes & it keeps you thinking all the way round. Friendly staff back at the bar area which was nicely laid out although maybe a wee bit on the pricey side for your drinks. Would definitely play here again & i will tell & encourage others to do the same, so thankyou Arcot Hall for a lovely days golf !

Decent for time of year

First time at Arcot Hall. I believe that the 2nd 3rd and 4th were winter greens (to be expected at this time of year). I was a little bit underwhelmed by the first few holes, because of the winter greens, but after the first few holes conditions improved. Arcot Hall has some lovely picturesque holes, especially the par 3’s. I could tell that the course would be lovely in the summer. I would recommend, and would come back.

One bit of constructive criticism is that the signage directing you to the next tee could be better. We had to ask other golfers on a few occasions.

First round

First time playing this course. Weather was rainy however we enjoyed the experience of a new course. As expected this time of year some temporary greens and the use of small mats from fairway’s. Really nice lay out and the club shop is well stocked.

Great condition for winter

Course had 2 temporary greens, few Tee boxes moved significantly forward. Still good challenges. Look forward to a summer visits and the real full length course.

Winter golf at Arcot Hall

Looks like this could be a lovely course in spring, summer or autumn but 9/9 holes were on winter ‘greens’. These were quite hard to differentiate from the fairway tbh. Happy we only paid £11 for the round but only did 9 because of the greens.

Hot deal

Arrived early for a coffee and the staff were very welcoming.

The course was in fantastic condition and the greens were amazing.

Mats were in use bit this did not detract from a very enjoyable round.

Nice course and excellent conditions for the time of year.

As title, course and specifically the greens where in excellent condition for the weather and time of year. I think there were only 3 greens on winters which was great.

Course conditions good considering time of year and heavy rain in previous 48 hours. Three greens currently being worked on necessitating winter greens for those three.
