Beautiful Course!

Played Arcot Hall today and the simple and easy way to say it is what a beautiful course! It's been 19 years since I last played here and the only thing I was disappointed with, was myself...for not playing again here sooner than I have! A stunning course in phenomenal condition! Fantastic layout and can't recommend it highly enough!

Great staff, painfully slow golf.

Played here as a 1 ball midday midweek. On arrival it’s a bit shabby but nothing that would put you off. The staff member in the shop was really friendly and helpful, explained where everything was as I hadn’t visited before. There is no range but a few nets and a practice putting and chipping area. Looking at the scorecard it appeared the course played quite short but that was in no way off putting for me. The fairways and greens were in fairly good condition, nothing amazing but good enough. In fairness my review is a bit tainted as I only played 9 holes due to the crazy slow pace of play. I had hoped to play the whole course but having been there well over 2 hours through 9 I decided to cut my losses. A good long wait on every tee box. Not allowed through by a members group of four ahead of me. At £25 would have been decent value if I’d played 18, as it stood I felt disappointed not to see the back 9 as I had heard it was the better half of the course.

1st time experience

We visited the course for the first time and found it to be a great experience. The course is very flat which might not suit everyone but was a welcome change to the hills on many courses. The greens and fairways were well kept. The bunkers and unforgiving rough made it a real challenge. The weather was really good, so helped the overall enjoyment. The club bar was open and safe. All in all a great day.

Nice course with good staff

The staff were very accommodating and pleasant, allowing us to start on hole 10 due to hold up at the first tee. Tee boxes were in reasonable condition. Greens rolled well. Fairways and semi were okay. The locker rooms/toilet facilities are in need of an upgrade and whilst you don't visit a golf facility for this, it gives an impression that the club has seen better days. Take some spray for midge at this time of year as the damp conditions make bites inevitable without it.

Great Compact Course

Really enjoyed my round at Arcot Hall. It was a course I’d wanted to play for a while and it didn’t disappoint. The course was in good condition: The greens were excellent, however, there were some parts of the fairways that were a bit short on grass. It is quite a tight course that makes for a good challenge. It is quite compact so your quite often putting in direct view of another tee, but this wasn’t a problem as the course was relatively quiet. The members were friendly and I felt welcome on the course. I will go back.

Course was not too busy, so no pressure on time.

Good condition, good course, staff very friendly and helpful ( as it was my first time here)

Only grumble was not all bunkers had rakes and could do with a sign to point you in the direction of next tee after the 9th hole (I think it was)

Otherwise a great days golf, I will return, thanks

Arcot Hall Golf Course

I’ve played ‘Arcot’ a few times over the years and always enjoyed my round. Played with my son today: tee boxes very good, fairways great, greens immaculate!

I live fairly local and I know about the drainage problems, (wintertime) however; I am seriously considering joining this club.

Good value for money.

The course was in brilliant condition. Got straight on and it was not too busy despite being a nice day on a bank holiday weekend. Course layout is ok but is a bit short from the yellow tees. Really good value for money.

unorganised chaos

TERRIBLY SLOW game and a waste of time booking on teeofftimes. all members just turn up without a tee time and take it in turns to go off. so as we turned up for our 10:28 tee time. a ladies 4 ball tee'd off in front of us at 10:27. at first we just thought it was a back log, but no it wasn't. also on the 3rd or 4th hole. i miss hit a shot and it went in there direction..... with this i shouted four, twice.....after apologising as i walked towards them i was met with abuse from one of the ladies saying i didn't shout.

very rude

after speaking with 2 groups of members on our tee box they were saying they don't want tee off times using there course. outragous.

i won't be going again that is for sure.
