Banstead Downs Golf Club

Lovely course, wide fairways, very good condition considering how much rain we have had when my own course has been closed for a few days. Greens were superb and very fast and can only imagine how fast they must be in the summer. (masters equivalent)?

Enjoyed our day, everyone seemed very friendly and only one concern was having to cross the A217 twice but other than that, a good day out.

Our first round at Banstead Downs and will definitely be back! Despite a lot of rain recently, the course was in really excellent condition. Wide fairways and immaculately prepared bunkers added to the enjoyment and the greens are among the very best I’ve seen. We thought we might not be able to play all 18 holes but followed a fourball who played at a really good pace so we got round in 3hrs 40mins, finishing just before sunset. Overall, an extremely enjoyable round on a wonderful course!

My husband & I played here over 20 years ago so we thought it would be fun to play again while visiting the UK. Great course, facilities and staff. We enjoyed it so much we cane back and played it again the next day. If we lived here it would definitely be a course to join as members.

I had a really enjoyable three ball. The course was in great condition, especially the greens and the views were lovely. Parking and the warm-up facilities were perfectly fine as was the bar afterwards. Shot a 94 so not to shabby for me.

First time here and I must say I was impressed. The greens are in excellent condition. Play was quite good until the12th where it backed up a bit. Will deffo play it again.

This course is nicely designed, with every hole separate. We played it last year in heat and the fairways then were very patchy and undulating and the ball bounced all over the place.

Having had more rainfall this year the fairways were now in good condition and the greens too were excellent. Warning re the latter though is that, despite them being in excellent condition they are challenging to putt on owing to slopes and gradients that I personally found hard to conquer. An enjoyable course though and one we will play again.

The course has some nice putting, chipping and nets to practice before your round so a really good setup to just make sure your are warm before going out. The course is in great condition and and the greens were really true. The course has some forgiveness to a wayward shot although you might need to take your medicine and play out but not a ball looser like some courses. The pace of play was good and the course was interesting and offers a good challenge. Will definitely be playing here again.

The COurse was lovely. really enjoyed. Greenside bunkers missing a bit of sand but greens were perfect. Friendly clubhouse staff too.

I'm a 11 handicap, in middleage, course off yellows 6000 yards, but played more like 5800, good test as was breezy. Greens are fantastic. I'm too old to create high spin but the lads I played could and went pin hunting. Fairway bunkers definitely can catch you out.

Top quality inland “links” that is on chalk & ALWAYS playable. It’s a proper mind-melt as u NEVER get a driving range lay. Plus the greens are tricky to read. I LOVE IT! Go enjoy it, it’s infinitely playable…
