Reviews
My favourite course
Whether you play this course in summer sunshine or on a damp winters day it will always reward you with stunning views and the most varied 18 holes anywhere within 50 miles. Sheltered Parkland, wild open heathered moorland, simply a wonderful test of your golfing skills and depending on the wind direction on the day good luck with your club selection on the 18th, one of the best finishing par 3's anywhere.
Hidden Gem
I have played Bingley (St Ives) several times - but not in the last decade. The course is as good now as it was then - plus there has been some noticable investment in landscaping, tee boxes, greens. The course was in first-rate condition.
The course has plenty of variety and - whether it trees, OOB, wispy long grass borders or moorland heather - the coruse rewards the accurate player and is punitive for the errant tee shot. I scored well by keeping my driver in the bag and favouring the accuracy of woods off the tees.
Loved the course and experience. Clubhouse bar wasn't open (Monday) but otherwise everything was perfect. Recommended.
Played this course about five years ago. I forgot how good it was, brilliant greens and the course is a great test. Lucky to play it on a calm sunny day, I would recommend the course to anyone.
Top quality course
Bingley St Ives is a top quality course in fantastic condition during my round today.
A great course with stunning views
This was our first visit to Bingley St. Ives and it was very enjoyable. From arriving at the facilities in the stunning grounds the experience was very positive. The staff in the pro shop were very friendly and helpful. The course starts gently but once up in the moorlands the heather tightens everything up. Greens were in excellent condition and the final hole is a great way to finish.
We had some food afterwards which was good. Slightly more choice on the menu would be the only comment for improvement.
Fantastic find
I was made to feel very welcome by the club staff, the pro was very friendly and helpful, the bar staff and caterers also. The food was great and very reasonably priced! Before I'd even hit a ball I loved it! The course itself was very dry and lacked definition in places due to the long dry spell, but that's no fault of the club. The greens were probably the best I've played all year and there was a nice mix of holes. Some parkland, others moorland. All in all an absolutely fantastic day and I will certainly be back even with the 90 minute drive!!
Gem
First time playing this but will be back . Starts off gently then opens up into beutiful parkland and then into heathland stunning
Top course
Has to be said, for this time of year and the rain we have had this course was in excellent condition.
Credit needs to be given to the greens staff loved every second. I will return again
Superb as usual
Always enjoy playing this top course. Well laid out course with mixture of parkland and moorland, 9th &10th holes especially pleasing. Great par 3 finish back to clubhouse. Friendly staff to boot, what more do you want really, a must play for any handicapper.
very nice course
Really nice course, in superb condition (early Aug '17), greens were excellent, receptive but good speed. Superb value for money at just £20 for a midweek round
Great day despite the weather
Great course, which held up well to the weather. Always enjoy my rounds here. Greens in great nick
Fabulous walk
I absolutely loved this place. If I lived closer I'd be joining immediately. Some good risk and reward holes, a teasing 18th and very few walking difficulties.
Highly playable
A very challenging course on the green work. The day was helped by fantastic weather-dry, calm and sunny. Will definately play here again and will recommend to others.
Really enjoyable
The course was quirky and good fun! A couple of shorter holes that you could go after and a few testing longer par 4s.
Beautiful scenery and very well kept, and interesting cross between heathland and parkland areas.
The weather was tragic but we still had a great time, the greens were a little slow (compared to what I'm used to) but no complaints! Still a good test and really fun
Great course
One of the best courses in the area. Excellent layout providing a thorough test and a really interesting challenge. Clubhouse facilities also good.
Exceptional value!!
We played on a Sunday afternoon here and we're amazed by the quality of the course for the price paid! Greens were very quick and generally in excellent condition. Pace of play was a little slow but all staff encountered were really friendly! Highly recommended!!
