Golf in clusters

Loved Bishop Auckland GC… interesting holes throughout and course in great condition. Greens consistent. Slight quibble is the course layout - three par 5s on holes 2,3,4 and a fourth on the front nine. Also four par 3s in six holes around the turn, then six par 4s to finish. There’s variety throughout but the clusters of hole types feels a little odd. A reconfiguration could transform the feel of the course. Still, I enjoyed it.

Still one of the best courses in the area

Thankfully with a lull in the rain, managed to get round in lovely sunny weather. The course is holding up well after so wet a period. Fairways and greens were in fantastic condition, and the rough pretty penal, as it should be.

Definitely will play this again. 👌

Good condition for this time of year. Still a challenge off winter tees. Greens running ok and firm enough. Will play again soon.

Lovely course and in great condition

This is my second time playing at this course and my opinion hasn't changed from the first time I was here. The course is beautiful and in great condition, even considering the bad weather we've had recently. The views on nearly all the holes are stunning.

A course for the driver

First time playing this course. Felt like a lot of par 5’s and par3’s but nether the less I thoroughly enjoyed this round. It’s one of the better courses in Durham. The majority of the course is nice wide fairways which are in impeccable condition. Some holes bring a lot of course management in to play as it’s very easy just to boom the big stick down the wide fairways and hope for the best when in fact it’s a better shot to use the 3wood or driving iron. On approach to the greens you can see the club has first glass grounds men. I will 100% be playing this course again. The club also has a very decent pro shop and very reasonable pricing

Lovely course

My first, but hopefully not my last, time playing this course. It's extremely well kept, with both fairways and greens in fantastic condition. The views of the surrounding countryside also make this a visual treat.

Definitely recommended.
