Play was really slow but i still enjoyed my time there

Through the green the course was in great condition. As with many courses the bunkers were inconsistent. Still a fab round iof golf, definitely recommend the course.

The course was fantastic. Set up for a county match that day it was a bargain at £27. Best greens I’ve played in ages.

Played here before and enjoyed however called in morning to make sure course was open. Yes but heavy I was told. Massive understatement. See video.

Should of offered me a voucher or something rather than let me play on that

Good course, testing off the tee as trees, the river and east coast main line all provide potential problems. Greens are good, softer after the rain but consistent. Bunkers are a bit variable some very hard and crusty.

Overall very enjoyable.

Clubhouse was very friendly with a special offer on beer at £2 a pint.

A very scenic course. Pleanty to think about off the tee, river on the right, railway line on the left. Whilst it is quite a challenging course it is very well maintained and the greens are good and consistent. We played in the afternoon and the course was very quiet. Overall an excellent test of golf.

When in the bar for a drink afterwards and service was great and very good value.

Would recommend.

Tee time 945 got to 4th hole 1045. 4 ball 4 ball 3 ball then me single then another single behind. Total chaos. They were playing a competition off whites and need to actually learn how to hit a ball before entering these comps total joke

Enjoyed my first time playing the course, not so much of a chore to walk which was a bonus.

Nice course, well kept and and very scenic. Course is quite tricky due to a river running along side several holes and slopes. The greens were quick and had slopes which made them challenging.

Had a lovely day as ever at Durham City GC. The only reason for 4* rather than 5 was the condition of the course which is entirely down to the time of year. In a few weeks, I imagine it will be perfect.

Played this course in March during greens maintenance week so difficult to assess the greens but can tell they are going to be fast and tricky.

Course layout is nice, no driving range but a big practice area. Front nine is a little repetitive and tougher but back 9 has some really good holes.

Staff we’re excellent

The course condition was terrible. If this was my home course I would not be happy that they were having the summer greens in use, when walking on the greens the water was rising from your feet and you were leaving visible feet indentations within the green. The ball was also plugging.

Winter greens should have been in play. Buggies were also allowed on the fairway and they were also leaving indentations from the wheels.
