Another excellent round of golf on a great little course with the most amazing scenery
November golf
Lovely course, although fairly short par 69 still a nice test of golf and with the conditions being very good for November it was a lovely round of golf. Greens were a bit bobbly.
Very friendly
2nd time I’ve played this course. Course in good condition despite rain! Professional & bar manager extremely friendly & helpful. Really made us feel welcomed & at home.
Excellent clubhouse and outdoor seating for a beer after. Course very enjoyable. Greens were very slow.
Really fun course, short but with plenty of character
Played here with a friend the other day. Short but good fun course with lots of character. For first timers round this course it is a bit tricky as there are no maps of the holes either on the score card nor on the tee boxes and there are many blind tee shots so either print something out before you go or use an app on your mobile phone to work out where the green might be. But other than that its a fantastic looking course with great views, some challenging but very satisfying holes.
Our round took us about 1hr 45mins but we were playing blind and didnt know the layout or play that well, so would expect faster next time round.
Probably the most fun 9 holes or golf under 2 hrs you can have in the area. Will definately be back for this little gem
Tricky fairways will keep you honest
Played here on Sunday for the first time since I was in my early teens. The course has changed a little bit since then but the condition of the greens (and fairways) was superb at the time of playing. The course is harder than it looks on paper. a number of Par 4s entice the big hitters to go for the green, but penalties for inaccuracy are many. The 8th hole is a prime example, with a fairway that slopes to the right towards a small water hazard that I assume is the proud owner of my brand new ProV1. If I play again, I will be down clubbing.... if i can resist!
A great atmosphere, staff were friendly and members were great, despite me regularly playing off the wrong fairway.
Good setup
I really enjoyed the views from this golf course and the setup of the course was very good. The only downside was a long uphill walk from the 17 green to the 18th tee!
Friendly club with great views
Got a friendly welcome in the pro shop on arrival. The course was busy, but got round in a two ball in just over 3 hours. It had rained a lot in the previous week, so course was boggy in places, but green in surprisingly good condition and running at a good pace. A few blind tee shots provides a good challenge for first time players.
Views
After many days of rain this course was in excellent condition and the greens were reasonably fast, pitch mark free and dry . The views of Wharfedale and the surrounding moorland are exceptional and it’s worth playing just for that. Having played several exceedingly wet courses over the last few weeks playing here was a very pleased surprise. The buggy price and round fee were very reasonable and the club professional very friendly.
Excellent value for money
Played this course for the first time yesterday, course was in excellent condition given the amount of recent rain. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in great nick. Some interesting holes too, particularly the 17th and 18th. Not a massively long course which suited me! Will definitely be back.
Great course great views will definitely be coming again we travelled from Sheffield was well worth it
Lovely pleasant course.
Lovely pleasant course. Delightful holes with an especially enjoyable finish back up to the club house. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and members on the course were very welcoming of other players. The course is very forgiving for those who might not hit so long - big hitters might make the green from the tee on all but the longest holes.
