Great ciurse
Great course with really friendly staff and golfers that invite you to play if your on your own
Good course
Good course. You have to not mind going up and down hills. Fairways and greens in great condition. You have to cross some fairways to get to next tee box but overall a good and fair course suitable for all levels of golfer. Our first time and will be playing this Good course again.
First time on the course with my daughter and we enjoyed it 😊
Amazing standard, fairway was incredible and really well maintained. Definitely one of the best courses around Manchester
disappointed
only 9 holes open they should have given a refund???
Closed holes
Course is generally a decent course. Last summer I played it a lot.
This time. Only 9 holes open with temporary greens on around 4/5 of them.
Didn’t state this when booking so I was fairly disappointed
Enjoyed the round(9x2) , weather effected). Considering the rain we had the fairways n greens were fine.
Good value for money
Owing to the recent poor weather the organisers had closed a number of holes. However, the amended layout was ideal and done in such a way as to enable a double nine hole round,
The course was in very good condition and the greens were excellent. Overall I would recommend this course.
Wet course
The 12th to 14th holes was to wet and they was cutting the fairways making it hard to play. But other wise the course was great.
Definitely a summer course
Front 9 holes are great. But beware the back 9 are horrible especially holes 12, 13 & 14. They’re all on a single hillside so you’re up down up and down again. The “fairways” were not in any decent shape at all on these holes after the wet weather and ruined the round to be honest. Apart from that the course was ok. Challenging with some lovely holes. Very thick rough so be careful or it will cost you some time and balls. Greens were in good nick all round, the holes could have been tidied up a little bit more but still ok. Would come back again but only after a week or two of hot dry weather.
Arrived early and the pro kindly let us tee off early also. Course not too busy and in decent condition. Rolling hills for the most part though not too challenging. Overall great value
13 holes only
I arrived for my round to be told only 13 holes open 1-11 & 17,18. There was no mention on their website it would have been nice to know this before booking. I have played the course many times now and it is usually in great condition. Greens were excellent however due to the persistent rain over the last few months some of the fairways were boggie
If it’s winter golf don’t bother!
If it’s winter golf don’t bother. Visited today, didn’t get informed till I got there 6 of the 18 were closed. Got stuck behind 2 gents for 15 minutes per hole and they wouldn’t let me through because “A single player isn’t recognised at this club” Also asked for directions and got pointed the wrong way by some members which I then saw them jump on the hole I was meant to play next. Also as you can see by the photo some greens were waterlogged. Informed the pro shop of all this when I gave up after 8 holes to which he replied “Okay”
Shame because looked like there was some nice holes.
