Pleasant suprise

I booked this last minute , just fancied a Change from my normal venues

What a pleasant surprise

Pro shop vey welcoming , great start

One of the members lent me his fob so I could access toilets and gave us a briefing on the course, really friendly

The course was in great condition and although short off the yellow tees proved a real test

Went in the bar for a beer afterwards was made very welcome

Just a top day out

Definitely going to return with friends

Great value golf

Burnley is quite a hilly course, and on the day of my visit it was quite windy too. It was very good value from TeeOffTimes, and it was very quiet- a two ball in front virtually the only other players I saw. The pro was friendly and welcoming.

There are some fantastic vistas and one or two par threes that are framed beautifully. The course was in good condition apart from some greens were recently cored and sanded.

Thoroughly recommended.

Windy weather
Walked

The closest golf gets to mountain climbing with some outstanding panoramic views!! It is tough climb - and for some reason I nearly always felt we were walking uphill rather than downhill!! Condition of the course was excellent given the heavy rainfall the night before. Although some fairways were 'wet' this was mainly due to the water run-off downhill. Greens were in excellent shape. Perhaps a few too many blind shots but given the setting that is probably to be expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our round and hope to go back!

Very interesting course to play

Interesting course to play, varied holes, quite a few blind shots. Green condition for time of year excellent. Fairways were being treated but didnt cause any problem to play. Panoramic views and some fascinating holes. Will definitely play again.

Quite a hilly course with a few blind holes. Need to play more there to know where you're going. Greens were good and will be playing there again
