Ground staff needed

The grass just off the fairways up to 3 ft tall. No ground staff anywhere to be seen. Pace of play suffers because every group looking for lost balls. White and yellow weeds on fairways makes any ball difficult to locate. Poor condition of course as always spoiling every players round.

Excellent Course

What a pleasant surprise. Pro shop was a delight, course was in amazing condition - tricky but fair. Absolutely worth playing. Ignore what you’ve heard previously about this course. The new management team are making massive positive changes. As time goes by this will be a premium venue

Excellent experience

We were camping locally and searching for a local course to play. We found this and was pleasantly surprised. The course is very well kemp with picturesque signature holes. We played other courses around here and found the rough areas were so tall if you missed the fairway the ball was unfindable. However, Caldecott is a little more forgiving slight mistakes were forgiven with decent areas of standard rough whilst awful shot we’re still punished with the longer stuff. Overall I would recommend this course as a must if your in the area. The course has a warm up area with snacks available at the bar and in the pro shop before you head out. If we come back I’ll definitely be coming back to try better my score many thanks 👍👍

Good course, enjoyable round

Had a nice round here. The layout is interesting and some challenging holes.

The fairways were a little long and the tee boxes could have done with a cut, but good value for money.

There is no range, just a couple of cages tucked away from the clubhouse.

Improved a lot!

Came here once last year, tees and greens not great.

But came back this Sunday and in really good condition!

Landscape of the holes is great…from raised greens, water holes, dog legs, blind approach shots, it’s got variety.

Teed off at 3:45pm for £15 with no one in front of me.

Thick rough so need to be accurate off the tee.

Have been to the bar/restaurant previously and very nice food, not too exp and can sit outside right next to the first tee.

(Fixed my divot after pic was taken)

Interesting course

I had read some bad reviews, but as I got good deal via golf now (£12 for 18) thought it was worth a punt and glad I did. The course has some well designed holes, a number of par 5's and some interesting dogleg holes. I get the point others have raised about the greens being a little bumpy but only on 2/3 holes. Overall a very enjoyable round and I will definitely be going back.

Great value, good course, will be back!

The course was the only place i could get a tee last minute as all the others in the area where flooded or booked up. Got a tee for £26.99, total bargain.

Really helpfull staff in the shop and good amount of stock. The bar area seemed to have everything you could need but we just grabbed a coffee.

The weather was really awful but the course still played well. It would of be good to know that some of the greens were winter greens before we set out but it didnt suprise us at all.

All in all a good course in suprising condition considering the weather recently and the cheap green fees.

Looking forward to going back in better weather!

Caldecott

Played here as my course was closed due to being waterlogged.

The fairways were in good condition considering the amount of rain we'd had.

The greens aren't the best, but generally the course is a good challenge with good variety of hole lengths and nice surroundings.

Sweltering Weather

Cheap 18 holes on Golf Now

Staff fantastic as needed to go a 3 ball instead of 4 and very accommodating.

Course however in poor shape especially greens. Fairways quite nice but work needed. Few bunkers like sand pits and unkempt.

Facilities however lovely - bar superb.

Great for a novice golfer to practice on.

Enjoyable game

Greens very good. Fairways nice and wide on most holes.. There are a lot of gorse bushes there so if you’re unlucky enough to go in one you’ll probably be playing another ball. Some long walks between holes. Overall very enjoyable

Really poor greens

Greens are awful, basically like shorter cut fairways that are covered in mud bobbles and divots. Tee boxes aren’t much better - sloped everywhere and terrible condition. Course could be really good if these parts were worked on
