Good value for money

Not the most interesting course I have played but good value for money. There was a shortage of way markers on the back nine.

Reasonable

It's been a dry spring fairway was brown and bear in several places. Course could do with a little tlc. Other than that if you don't set your expectations to high you won't be disappointed. Will probably play again on a hot deal in a few months time

DECENT COURSE, POOR GREENS

Same as my last review this is a good course, and if the first hole is busy there is always the possibility of playing the back 9 first, which we once again did, slotting seamlessly into a 2-hole gap. We also had no difficulty transferring to the first hole after finishing the back 9. The course in general is good, though fairly hard. Getting under the ball was a bit challenging though low straight shots went on and on. My only gripe - the same as last time - was the state of the greens. They were bumpy, covered in sand and a bit scruffy. Getting the speed right was a bit of a lottery too. We'll be back regardless.

Let down.

We didn't play because at no time was I told I would have to be playing with another 2 ball

I booked to play with a mate who I haven't played with for ages & we looked forward to a round in our own company at our own level

I did not pay to be with other people I do not know.

Smacks of greediness & poor Comms.

I will not use Golf now again

Good layout, terrible condition

Layout and setting fantastic. Fairways average, tee boxes poor, greens appalling. Such a shame. Front 9 probably worse than the back, not none particularly good.

Lack of Staff so no buggies!

I want to draw people’s attention to this!

Wanted an afternoon round from 2pm (reasonable) and single player with a minor leg injury- wanted a buggy but guess what

NO STAFF BEYOND 4 pm on a Sunday (?) so you can’t booked a buggy

Pathetic!

Talk about doing yourself out of business

Very nice course

Great course, but several of the players were pretty rude, and hit their balls very near us.

First timer

Played via golf now , course set up and surroundings are

Beautiful, golf shop is well stocked , however course fairways

Were not in good Nick , I have seen other course semi rough

In better condition . It may have been the time of year and the recent rain , but because it was so widespread I doubt that was the main reason , such a shame as a fantastic setting .

Great Course Lay out

This was the first time I have played here and perhaps the last. The course lay out is great with some really nice holes. The thing that let it down is that the greenkeepers haven't done anything to the greens ( 3 out of 18 were acceptable ) and the bunkers hadn't been raked for quite a while. The clubhouse and food is very nice ( they do a great carvery ). It might just be down to the weather tge state of the greens as the person I spoke to in the pro shop did say the course got scorched in the hot weather ( when we had some ).

First time on a course

After weeks and months just on a range I gave my local course a try, with no expectations it certainly exceeded any I thought I had. Staff very helpful and polite. Course conditions are great. A course map would be very helpful as I had to use 18 birdies to map the hole. Besides this I hope to become a member have only had good time here. Green fees are excellent in comparison to other local green fees.

Nice Little Holiday Round

No one was there first thing of the morning but we had already paid of course through GolfNow but then was quickly asked my I presume a captain or member of staff on the next tee time “whether we’d paid or not” because they had few problems with people not paying. My suggestion would be to get someone in the pro shop from first tee time if you want to prevent this. But no big deal though.

Map of the course would have been nice as we had never played before and there were so many blind holes.

Other than what I’ve mentioned for the time of year just going into autumn the course was excellent.

Holiday round

Enjoyed playing the golf course but very little direction and information on the hole layout and distances of hazards etc so was very much guess work with the aid of google maps to try to find the layout of the holes. Frustrating but nevertheless an enjoyable round.
