Crook visit

We got on the course about 10.15 for a 10.40am tee off but the nice 4 ball members in front of us said we could tee off before, them all very friendly..

Course was in very good condition and couldn’t fault the friendly staff and members, we will be back again soon.

An enjoyable and challenging course

We played Crook for the first time and found it to be such an interesting, quirky course. Not long by any means but if your short iron game is lacking, get ready for 3 hours of head-scratching! Almost a links-type feel to approach shots with a lot of bump-and-runs needed to counteract the slopes before and on the greens. Everything about this place is excellent. A 20+ handicapper might find it too difficult though. (Score 87, Handicap 15).

Just what I needed.

Hi, this course was spot on. My two sons wanted to play on a course instead of going to the driving range again. We didn’t play the full 18 holes that I paid for as the time of day was against us but the 12 holes we got in were worth it for the experience my kids will take away. We stay in a caravan not far away and I’d like to think we will be back over the summer months. We carried our bags as I wasn’t sure if we’d get out at all. Not sure if the course has carts which may help others. We didn’t use the clubhouse so can’t comment on that. The course was in good condition and a good challenge for myself and the kids as we are amatuers.

Good. course with quality greens

Friendly welcome in the pro shop and able to tee off when we were ready. Despite recent damp wether the course was dry and the greens in excellent condition running quick and true. Course was quiet when we played so pace of play was excellent. Only disappointment was that the bar was closed when we finished playing. Would definitely look to go back in the summer when drier and greens even quicker

Great condition

Having not played crook for some time (at least 25 years) we were very surprised by the quality of fairways and greens we played on the August bank holiday so the course was very quiet the direction signs for next holes were well laid out as no local golfers were nearby we really enjoyed the golf and the views from the high spots we will return before 25yrs for sure.

Good Challenge

Course was great and challenging. First 9 the most challenging for me. Greens were pretty fast overallwell kept course ball ran on a bit but that was due to the current weather conditions and lack of rain we have been having.
