Course was in fantastic condition & the layout really follows the hills causing a natural difficulty level

A real thinking golfer’s course with blind tee shots, sloping fairways and a super variety of holes with dog legs and blind shots to greens. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were faultless. The highlights were the friendly members giving useful tips and encouragement before the round and the bar lady at the end. My playing partner and myself had a great round and would recommend Crook to everyone.

Excellent course made the mistake of booking through Golf Now on a supposedly Hot Deal only to find the same deal available on the club website without the booking fee!! Very disappointed with Golf Now!!

Played here for the first time , course in great condition, not the longest course however a good test for all abilities , narrow fairways and blind shots .

I would recommend this course

Despite top dressing applied to greens they were true. Conditions superb, quiet course virtually to our selves. Sadly bar shut

Spectacular views on the front nine,. Not for the flat course players , as constantly playing uphill or downhill which if unused to playing on hillside club, then hard going. But a great course to play.

The sloping fairways and testing greens make it difficult to score well for a high handicapper.

Clubhouse was closed hence 3 stars for off course.

Good test for any level. Lovely layout and superb views. Shame it hadn't dried out at this time of year. Greens were very bobbly

Nice course in many ways with great views, we enjoyed the day out 6 of us played.

The greens however were in very poor condition which distracted from what would have been a better day.

Maybe a summer course

After a bad winter it looks like the green staff have been working extra hard to bring it back a good standard.

Really enjoyed playing this challenging course. But hilly, but nice layout.

Some very interesting holes, however holes 3 - 7 there was a lot of cross over and potential of been hit by a flying golf ball.

The greens weren’t in good condition, very slow, bumpy and missing grass in many sections.

The pace of play was slow. Thankfully, a very kind grandma & grandson pairing invited me to join in with them to improve the pace. If you’re reading this review, thank you again!

4.5 hours for the round.

I would play again, however there are better golf clubs available locally.

At times you feel like you need your hiking boots and there are some testing holes throughout the course. There aren’t many major obstacles, but it gets exposed to wind, which makes for a really tricky afternoon. Greens play really fast too. Overall, it’s a course you have to think your way round.

Sadly I was unable to play due to illness. Was really looking forward to it. I'm sure the course was in great condition. It's a shame my booking was non refundable .

Overall the course played short, it was nicely laid out with tight fairways and enjoyable to play. On the day it was very very windy and you are exposed to the elements and by the time we got to the 14th we were busted. Only downside was greens had been hollow tyned and were very sandy and woolly. Enjoyed it though and a would play again! Today in fact!

Was not stated that its only 14 holes over the winter. Advertised as 18 holes when paying! Fairways and greens were good for time of year and nice winter tee boxes. Played this course in the summer and was in very nice condition.

Considering the amount of rain there has been it was great to find a course that kept 14 holes in play and only two temporary greens. The main greens were first class for winter conditions. The only reason for 4 stars overall is because of the 4 closed holes and unfortunately we couldn’t use the club house due to restrictions.
