Great course

It's a little dog tracky, as in the fairways are some what shared and cross over each other, but not as bad as some I've seen, still really enjoyed the course, and for the price it was fantastic, I will be going back again, very picturesque

Thankfully great weather

I have walked along the course many times when visiting the area and it always looks well maintained and interesting to play so brought my clubs this time and booked on through Golf now. The greens were in great condition and the fairways ran very well. Thankfully the weather was very kind. Definitely a must if you are in the area.

Oh boy, what views!

Great course. Basic out and back layout. Right on the coast so wind might be a factor. Superb links conditions, hard fairways and firm greens means you need to control your ball or off it goes. Some severe run offs to greens and a few hidden fairway make a decent test.

Very enjoyable

Enjoyable round of golf at Dunstanburgh. Quite busy but not held up. Spectacular scenery with impressive views towards Dunstanburgh Castle. Challenging course with some interesting greens and bunkers that will cause distress!

A gem of a links

Excellent value for a stunning course - being used to Lancashire & north Wales coastal green fees up to £200 a round this place is a revelation £30 a round and the most enjoyable round of golf ever- helped by stunning views on every hole and fantastic conditions.

Post round menu not extensive but can recommend the lemon cake staff were lovely- if you’re visiting with a non golfer it’s a great walk too along the coast for them to enjoy

Dunstanburgh is Magical

This isn't an easy course but if you wanted to have an amazing walk whole playing or spoiling a round of golf ... lol ... this is a great place to do it.

Stunning views, up's and down's along the way with one of the UK's best coastlines running the length of the course.

Recommend golf

Arrived about half an hour before booking time staff just turning up, lady in shop made us a coffee and checked us, really welcoming.

The course its self was in great condition for the time of year, no mats required, amazing.

Fantastic views all along the course and paying the hole up to the castle was wonderful.

Had a period of showers nut nothing to worry about.

If you want t play here I would recommend early t time as when we were finishing the place was heaving and car park full,

Great value for money.

Lots of ground works at the moment around some bunkers which will only make the place look even more amazing.

So thank you for allowing us to visit and play, we will definitely be back and bring a few friends with us next time.

Have a great 2025

Gobsmacking winter golf

This place is just outstanding, a real credit to the staff and green keeping team for a course to be presented in this condition in the middle of winter. My home course on preferred lies with mats and winter shortening vs this place in as good as summer conditions. Cold and windy, but just a perfect layout and true example of links golf at its very best.

This is a must play course

After viewing the website and internet photos I was excited to play Dunstanburgh.

However they do absolutely no justice to the course.

Every single hole has you looking around in wonderment.

All 18 holes look and feel achievable, I was confident on every tee box. That’s not to say I wasn’t challenged! I shot a 99 I’m a 22.7 handicapper.

The course and greens are in great condition and the course is close to immaculate.

I got it for £18 on golf now and would have been happy paying £50

Great place to play

Really nice course. Visually great, but also in great condition for right before Christmas. All greens, fairways etc were great. The odd bunker was GUR but apart from that, it was hard to fault. Tricky wind made it quite difficult, but it was a really nice play to play golf. Would 100% go back as it was worth the hour drive up the road.
