Durham City Golf Club

Greens were soaking wet and divots everywhere grass was long. Could not get ball to hole, no mater how hard you hit the ball. Definitely not worth £30 each around, I feel I have been robbed. They cold have went out wary in morning and squeged the greens and we could have had a proper game of golf.

Great course - was slightly wet under foot but that can’t be helped - always helps when you play well too! Not played here for 10 years and really enjoyed it

The course was in excellent condition. Especially after the amount of rain we've seen recently.

I love the layout and the challenge is reasonably fair.

It's also very good value

This course has a lovely layout and some excellent holes. The greens are very tricky, and a practice putt at the beginning unfortunately gave the impression of being a lot quicker than the actual course.

Still, the round was enjoyable, even if I didn't play my best.

Second time at Durham City. Really nice course, great condition, greens quick but not too fast. Highly recommended

Course was in great condition with excellent greens which were tricky, consistent and fast. Staff friendly both in the pro shop as well as the clubhouse.

Will return to play again in the near future.

We try to visit this course every year though we are members elsewhere.

The conditions were incredible considering the months of rain. No standing water, bunkers, greens and fairways in great nick.

Considering the weather we’ve had over the past few months this course played really well. The fairways have held out really well. I can imagine this course to be really good to play during the hot months and I will certainly be returning. There is some holes that really make you think about your club choice which I liked.

Courses throughout the North East struggled to open their doors to members and visitors alike during an unprecedented November period of torrential rain, however, Durham City opened its doors and conditions were more than acceptable with all greens in excellent condition, drained and open for play. As visitors we were provided with a wealth of information prior to our round by John in the Pro Shop and the Bar Staff were more than welcoming post round.

I’ve played here a few times now, I enjoy playing on this course. Although the wether wasn’t that good, the course was in good condition. I would recommend this course to anyone, as long as I’m playing golf I’ll be visiting this course in the future. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Console is a lovely course even in the winter after storm borbet cause wasn’t to wet loved the challenge of this course as was hard but not outrageous hard
