Hart Common Golf Club - Main Course

This is a tough course, with some long holes to finish. Course in excellent condition, greens quick and new tee boxes looking very good. Highly recommended

Best course I've played this year with condition and layout. Will definitely be back. 100% recommend

£10 per player Great British Sterling to play the course on a weekday evening as a 4 ball, what a bargain. Tee time booked for 5:44 - signed in the pro shop at around 5:30 to be told just follow out the group outside the shop... Looking over to the first tee two more groups were waiting to go off... not the best sign. Eventually teed off just after 6:00pm followed rather promptly by a two ball. Given the general slow pace of play and a number of 4 balls we were waiting on in front we made the decision not to let them play through. 7 holes in the two ball behind had come within inches of hitting members of our group twice! Failing to give any shout and then see what they had done wrong on both occasions, with no apology and telling us they couldn't believe they had hit it so far. Unfortunately at such good value for money this appeared to be the sort of clientele attracted to Hart Common. I am pretty far from a golf snob and love to play muni/bang for you buck courses as much as the next man, however on this occasion the village idiots rained somewhat on the parade. What a shame given the condition and design of the course. The greens were by far the best I've played in the area in recent weeks, given the weather we had had the were running extremely firm and true.

So, is Hart Common too good value for money? I would happily paid double or triple the amount to play this standard of course but given the blind eye towards tardiness and lack of golf course etiquette on display I would be hard pressed to part with my ten pound note again to play here.

For £10 the course is a steal, played by myself. FollowEd 2 members as first time on the course!! Turns out they’re playing in the sweep. Ridiculously slow!! But members infront of them and members 2 groups infront of them, were also in the sweep. 100% play the course again but just not a Wednesday if the sweeps on!!

Brilliant course and the greens are perfect. All round a fantastic day

This is an excellent course but, for me, it is the greens that truly make it. Undulating is an understatement but the condition of all 18 were superb 10/10. This is a course where you need to pick your way around and not just bomb it as there are lots of subtle hazards lying in wait. It was my first time playing it but it won't be my last and at under £1 per hole to play it really is great value for money. If I had to highlight one area to be improved it could benefit from more signage particularly from 16 to 17 and then 17 to 18 but now having played it I know where I'm going!!

Me and my mate Rowlando played this today. Really enjoyed the course and greens were in great shape considering the weather we’ve had. Rowl-dawg brought it home with a solid double on the last to shoot 99 - shame the bar wasn’t open when we finished at 6:30pm for him to celebrate... will definitely be back and I’ll be going deeeeeep!

We visit Hart Common with the society so we know the track. Under these current times , we decided to travel and play again as the courses re open. We had heard the greens were excellent and its something we always check first. We weren't disappointed, they were spot on.. The course was in super condition and had been looked after during lockdown.

I'd recommend the track to anyone who wants a decent game and a test aswell.. Some Tee Boxes needed leveling, but in general all was great.. Value for money, which meant a busy course. But hey, you can't keep a good course a secret..

Just played this course for the first time. The greens are fantastic and the layout really enjoyable, excellent bunkering and undulations all over the place creating every type of lie. Not just a grip it and rip it course, placement off the tee is important on many holes and there is plenty of risk/reward.

Congratulations to the designer and those that maintain Hart Common, a gem in great condition, I will be back here regularly.

Wasnt aware there was a update on dress code travelled 30 mins to play then to be told we can not play.na acception would of been nice as this has never been an issue before
