Hart Common Golf Club - Main Course

Wasn’t expecting the best conditions with recent weather, but I could have played in a pig pen in better nick, absolute mud bath. Front 9 closed without warning so had to play the back 9 twice. I understand this is to protect the course but the pace of play was really bad due to people finishing their first 9 then starting again on the tenth along with people trying to start their round, and this was on a Monday! God help anyone trying to play on a weekend.

Grew up playing this course, played my first round of golf was here and it has gone to the dogs, such a shame. Steer clear. 2/10... generous nostalgic rating

On arrival after booking through tee times on line I was welcomed at the pro shop with the following statement “ your playing on your own? I wouldn’t have bothered as there is a comp on, don’t hold anyone up, I suppose you will have to play as you booked on line”.

I was in between two four balls which was fine as not in a rush as I pay to play all day. Until a member of the club verbally abused me at a tee for an errant shot that I called fore and it was a good 15ft from him.

My advise stay away really rude people course is average at best much better locally.

Hart Common is always a solid decision. The greens here are awesome and always in great condition. The course layout can be challenging at times with the thickness of the rough but if you can hit fairways then you'll enjoy this course.

Fantastic course, good holes, good layout and food/drinks good too. Pace of play was awful, was waiting on nearly every tee for 5 minutes as the 2x 2 ball in front of me were shocking. Majority of the staff are excellent, green staff quite rude.

played this course many times if it was nearer i would get a mebership well worth playing

First proper ‘winter round of golf’ this year. Frosty start to the morning and was dreading the conditions, however course was in excellent condition. Greens where soft but rolled true and at a good pace. Fairways and rough well manicured. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Looking forward to a revisit. Especially in the Summer

18 holes on 1 of the best courses around for £10 after work.

Not played here for approx 4 years. Course has improved and "bedded" in very well in that time. Will be back for more!

Greens were in fantastic condition , course well maintained, always a challenge to play would highly recommend

With the recent very dry spell the course was parched so goo)d drives were loooooong!! (There weren't that many good ones though! )

Greens were in excellent nick but tricky to read.

All in all very testing but the set-up was a fair challenge.

Give it a try you might enjoy it.

Ended up walking off after 9 holes as it took nearly 3 hours and no fun at all when it's so slow.

It's a shame because the course was in great condition and a good challenge for a first time visitor.

Won't be going back anytime soon though as when I asked in the club shop if there was any chance we could come back when it's quiet to play the back 9 I was told no way and that it was my choice to walk off. I understand that it was my choice to walk off but I thought it was a bit miserable to not offer us the chance to come back when it's quiet to finish the back 9 after it taking nearly 3 hours to get through the first 9. They wouldn't even offer us a go on the little par 3 course.

Had a great day out with a couple of friends. Warm friendly welcome by lady in pro shop. Course in great condition despite the recent persistent hot weather. Best value for money course in the north west. Only critism is that there was no directional sign from hole 16 to 17 and we were merely guessing which way to go. Will definitely be back soon.

GREAT ROUND COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE WEATHER WAS GOOD , GREENS EXCELLANT, PRACTICE FIRST ON THE ON COURSE DRIVING RANGE.

May be in the summer different review , came off after 9, need sat nav to find pro shop only joking but could do with sign to next car park had to ask.

£16 paid but not for these conditions .boggy in places, good greens no complaints.
