Hart Common Golf Club - Main Course

Great weather and a great days golf.

With the recent very dry spell the course was parched so goo)d drives were loooooong!! (There weren't that many good ones though! )

Greens were in excellent nick but tricky to read.

All in all very testing but the set-up was a fair challenge.

Give it a try you might enjoy it.

Had a good time. Course condition excellent considering the dry weather. Will definitely come back.

Ended up walking off after 9 holes as it took nearly 3 hours and no fun at all when it's so slow.

It's a shame because the course was in great condition and a good challenge for a first time visitor.

Won't be going back anytime soon though as when I asked in the club shop if there was any chance we could come back when it's quiet to play the back 9 I was told no way and that it was my choice to walk off. I understand that it was my choice to walk off but I thought it was a bit miserable to not offer us the chance to come back when it's quiet to finish the back 9 after it taking nearly 3 hours to get through the first 9. They wouldn't even offer us a go on the little par 3 course.

Had a great day out with a couple of friends. Warm friendly welcome by lady in pro shop. Course in great condition despite the recent persistent hot weather. Best value for money course in the north west. Only critism is that there was no directional sign from hole 16 to 17 and we were merely guessing which way to go. Will definitely be back soon.

GREAT ROUND COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE WEATHER WAS GOOD , GREENS EXCELLANT, PRACTICE FIRST ON THE ON COURSE DRIVING RANGE.

May be in the summer different review , came off after 9, need sat nav to find pro shop only joking but could do with sign to next car park had to ask.

£16 paid but not for these conditions .boggy in places, good greens no complaints.

After playing half a dozen local courses Hart Common is in the best condition by far. The greens and fairways and tee boxes for this time of year was suprisingly amazing it was almost like playing in the summer. Outstanding value for money. Highly recommended

In my opinion the course was in a poor condition and should not have been open to play

course was overall very good had heavy rain overnight so was bit boggy in places, very well maintained, greens excellent fairways good always enjoy the course good challenge

I felt compelled to write this review after having experienced this course this morning.

First of all the greens on this course for a municipal are absolutely outstanding. Better than a lot of private clubs I have played.

The fairways are in great condition and the rough isn't too punishing.

Lower handicap golfers may not find this course too challenging but is a fair test for mid to high.

Could be better signposted from green to tee and the pro shop is lightly stocked.

A great course - will certainly be back.

If you want to play a municipal in the area play here it's fantastic.

Course is great value for money, nice layout with good mix of long and short holes with undulating greens.

I've played this course a few times this year and the condtion is fantastic. The greens are excellently groomed and the fairways have distinctive cuts and are well maintained. There are a few long walks from green to tee so be prepared. I will be playing here again in the near future.

This course is always in fantastic condition. I booked my round for 13:00 on a Thursday afternoon & the course was empty. Greens are superb & the course is well kept

Thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Extremely well maintained course; Fairways and Greens were in immaculate condition. I don't think there is a better course for value for money in the local area. It would be great though if you were able to wear golf shoes and caps in the clubhouse; this could / should be allowed like most other places. Great pint after the round though nevertheless!

I've never had a bad experience at this course. The layout and condition are very well maintained.

Cut a long story short, this course is brilliant.

Flat tees. great layout and variety of holes. Fast greens that are in great condition. Very undulating greens and fairways too.

There are a lot of courses charging double the price that are no better than this.

If you haven't played it, give it a go. Great course.

Windy but dry, the course was in superb condition for the time of year. Fairways were bone dry and cropped giving plenty run especially with wind behind, and greens tip top. Nice mix of reachable par 3s, couple of challenging long par 4s, and long and shorter par 5s. Great morning's golf.
