Wet and windy, enjoyable afternoons golf despite the conditions.
rip off
paid GOLFNOW £36 to play 18 holes, was not informed that only 10 holes were open and they were waterlogged
Very dissapointed that I was conned by GOLFNOW will not be using them again
Only 10 holes available
Was a sunny day but after days of rain there was too much water on course as next to river the so called drainage spent on course doesnt work and not even a half refund offered so we went round twice to get our money's worthwas bank holiday so restaurant took alot longer than usual only worth playing here in summer if they could drainge course and yet keep the lakes would make it and interesting course but no one wants to play in wellies
Didn't play due late cancellation of buggy by the Course
Didn't play due course informed me at 10:40, already at the course, (for 11am tee time) they would not let buggy's on the course. Myself & Friend can only play, at present, with using a buggy.
I'm having a Hip replacement 29 December, my playing partner is having his Knee replaced in February.
I asked for a refund, they said "I could not get a refund as don't receive any payment from Golf Now for "Hot Deal" rounds
Good inexpensive course
Good picturesque course for beginners and societies. Nice and open fairways. Suspect drainage could be an issue over winter. Many undulations on fairways where I think drainage channels have been formed over the years but I will certainly try and visit again.
7 holes out of order
We arrived to be told they had 7 holes out of order and unplayable no phone call prior wasted our time going up there to not play a full 18. Also group ahead were dragging trolleys over the green. Its a casual play course and this is why. Wouldn't recommend to a serios golfer
Course only had 12 holes open being on the river Stour and after a deluge of recent rain. Many local courses closed.
It is generally a good course albeit Shortish course, greens okay for time of year.
I'm seriously struggling to get any money back for 12 holes only, help!
Improving all the time
Got to say this course is getting better all the time. Considering the rain course had dried fast and well. One suggestion is a slope rating for playing off the mats.
Just reasonable.
Good track generally. Nothing to shout about. Still trying to shake off the iford image. Pace of play was so so. Played in a pair, stuck behind a three ball which teed off late, despite there being no one in front. Pace has been an issue previously at times. No true yard markers so tricky green approaches.
Fairly average
Not a particular interesting course but it is usually in good condition although greens were poor when we played
A great day out
When the sun shines and the rain stays away, you will have an amazing round
Good value course
Apart from recent maintenance to the greens, work that iis obviously important for there upkeep meant they were slightly bumpy. The course is fun to play for all levels of golfer's
Friday morning round
Polite staff and good course layout, good pace of play but unfortunately the course is massively let down by some awful greens. Resembled the old style astro turf is the best way I could describe it. Also on at least 5 or 6 holes there is ‘trenches’ which I can only guess is recently worked on water pipes but these create an awful area to play shots from on the fairway on several holes. Disappointing as otherwise a nice course and facilities
A nice change I’d scenery
Not played the course before but will certainly go back. Great warm up facilities, great layout and if it wasn’t for the recent green maintenance I’d expect to be saying great greens 👍
Poor condition
Unfortunately the greens had just been hollow cored and the greens were full of hole’s and sand, ripp off after paying £18 each which was a hot deal, would have been well unhappy if I paid the full price £25.
